Ecumenical Movement: A conspiracy of Rome
"Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me...." (Isa.54:15)
What would you say if I told you that there is a group of men gathering together "in the name of Jesus" with the ultimate goal being to unite the entire "Christian" world under the pope? What if I also told you that these men are Roman Catholics (Jesuits and Opus Dei) who have pretended to be Christians and infiltrated the Protestant churches and who have become well respected "Christian" leaders? Would you think me mad? Would you consider it just another conspiracy theory? Well what if the Lord told you Himself?
"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." (2 Cor.11:13-15)
What these "false apostles" are promoting is "unity with diversity". What exactly does that mean? It means that anyone who names the name of Jesus is welcome to join. Doesn't matter WHICH Jesus....just so you name the name. But once again, what does the Lord say?
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." (Mt.7:21)
This Promise Keepers mentality is leading us toward a global tolerance of all religions and beliefs. But I challenge anyone, show me one scripture that teaches tolerance of false doctrine! Just one! Ephesians 5:11 tells us to "reprove the works of darkness". Acts 20:26-28 tells us:
"Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood."
Take heed! We must declare the "WHOLE" counsel of God, not just dwell on "common ground"!
Randy Phillips, Promise Keepers' President, (a self-proclaimed "former catholic" who has yet to renounce Rome) said in an interview when asked about abhorrent doctrines:
"I think you're dealing with a whole area that is not our expertise or calling."
How can that be? How do you call millions of men to gather in the name of the Lord, if doctrine is not your thing? Maybe Mr. Phillips should put down his Catholic catechism and pick up the word of God!
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Tim.3:16-17)
Before I continue, I must emphasize the importance of sound doctrine. To save space desperately needed to expose the global effects of Promise Keepers, please look up the following scriptures concerning doctrine: Eph.4:14; 1 Tim. 1:3,10; 4:9,13,16; 2 Tim. 3:10; 4:2,3; Titus 1:9; 2:1,7,10; 2 John 1:9,10; and Revelation 2:14,15 & 24. And these are only a few taken from the New Testament! I believe an in-depth study of "doctrine" would benefit many of you.
Now let's see what doctrines are coming from this organization. They teach there is no difference between the Communion, the Eucharist, the Mass, or the Lord's Supper.
"Call it anything you like and think of it any way you wish...it doesn't matter... just so you 'name the name of Jesus' while you are doing it!"
Jack Hayford, Paul and Jan Crouch's pastor, writes about "Redeemed Worship" on page 19 of his book "The Seven Promises of a Promise Keeper:
"Redeeming Worship centers on the Lord's Table. Whether your tradition celebrates it as Communion, Eucharist, The Mass, or the Lord's Supper, we are all called to this centerpiece of worship."
Am I to believe that Mr. Hayford does not realize that the Eucharist is considered by Roman Catholicism to be the ACTUAL body and blood of Christ Jesus. Is Mr. Hayford ignorant of the fact that Rome's priests claim to "bring Christ down" and "place Him on the altar" making Him the "Victim" again? I think Mr. Hayford is very aware. But once again, what does the Lord say?
"YE CANNOT DRINK OF THE CUP OF THE LORD, AND THE CUP OF DEVILS: YE CANNOT BE PARTAKERS OF THE LORD'S TABLE, AND OF THE TABLE OF DEVILS." (1 Cor. 10:21)
This acceptance of "the table of devils" as legitimate Christian worship is leading toward the future global pan-Christian celebration planned for the year 2000. The problem is, those participating are not all Christians!
Not only are Promise Keepers accepting the Catholic Communion, on July 23, 1995, an article entitled "Promise Keepers Christian Crusade Draws Catholic Men" , from an issue of Today's Catholic, reported that in July, an official Promise Keepers Leadership Seminar was conducted at the Catholic Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. More than 600 Catholic men participated. The meeting concluded with a Catholic Mass led by school president priest Michael Scanlon. (Note: a former Catholic who left Rome for doctrinal reasons would NEVER participate in the blasphemous mass of Rome!) In March, Promise Keepers board of directors welcomed Mike Timmis as a new member. Timmis is a Catholic attorney and member of the PK board of Directors. He is also a long time leader in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Make no mistake, Promise Keepers is run by Catholics pretending to be Christian!
Promise Keepers' plan is to "break down denominational barriers" and to promote unity among "Christians". But what exactly is the definition of a Christian? A Christian is one who has accepted by FAITH God's GIFT of salvation which was made possible by Christ's death whereby He paid the FULL PRICE for the sins of mankind. By this definition, anyone claiming that they are saved through a church or through sacraments or any other means other than the blood of Jesus Christ and HIS righteousness, would not be Christian. For example, the Catholics or the Mormons. While one would have to applaud men vowing to be "men of purity" or "men of intregrity", such vows, even if kept can do no more than make men moral. Moral does not equal saved or born again!!
"For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge; For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." (Romans 10:2,3)
Even their vows are not according to the word of God. Promise Keepers have invited homosexuals to join with them to take these vows.
"Because we have experienced the love of Christ, we desire to share His love with all men...We invite homosexuals to be recipients of God's mercy, grace and forgiveness...We therefore support their being included and welcomed in all our events." (From Promise Keepers Official Web Site)
Promise Keepers founder Bill McCartney, (another self-proclaimed "former catholic" who has not renounced Rome) said plainly that Roman Catholics are invited to participate. Blatantly ignoring Deuteronomy 23:17,18:
"There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel. Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God."
Mr. McCartney, you have brought the hire of a whore (Roman Catholic Church) and the price of a dog (homosexuals) into the house of the Lord to perform a vow!
I pray that you are beginning to see how these men who claim to have left Rome, are not only tolerating Rome's false doctrines, but promoting them. For example, McCartney has told pastors:
"We cannot divide the word of truth. We need you to teach us."
Here we have Mr. McCartney leading those following him to believe in his catholic stand of needing a "teaching magisterium" in order to know the word of God! This is blatantly a Catholic teaching. It has no place in Christianity!
"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him." (1 John 2:27)
" Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Tim. 2:15)
Beneath the emotional hype, camaraderie, enthusiastic speakers, songs, and cheers, Promise Keepers champions a psycho-spiritual, ecumenical, and political agenda that few have bothered to explore!
Now that we have seen how Catholic doctrine is pouring out of Promise Keepers, let's look at the big picture. This is where the conspiracy becomes evident!
LATTER RAIN MOVEMENT: In the 1940's, a group of Pentecostals, following an allegorical interpretation of Deut. 11:14,
That "I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. "
applied it to the Church today, i.e. God would send a "latter rain" of special blessings upon the Church prior to Christ's return. Then they interpreted Romans 8:18,19
"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God."
as being the time of the latter rain, when the Church would be revived and become His "manifest sons". This distortion of Scripture, i.e.,
"As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction." (2 Pet. 3:16)
has led them to the conclusion that the revived Church would bring about a world of peace and safety in which Christ could return to reign over.
VINEYARD MOVEMENT: John Wimber, senior pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Anaheim, CA., is well-known for his "signs and wonders" ministry. It is important here to show you a "vision" Wimber shares where the Lord says to him:
"I'm going to start it all over again. I'm going to pour out my Spirit in your midst like I did in the beginning."
To which Wimber replies,
"...but I looked at myself (suffering from cancer), and I'm out of energy. In my spirit I was murmuring, 'Oh God, oh God.' And at that point the Lord gave me a word. I heard myself say: 'shall I have this pleasure in my old age?' The very words Sarah laughingly said to herself when she overheard the Lord say she was going to have a son from her 90 year old husband. (Gen. 18:10) This was a word of life from the Lord, and it touched me deeply."
At the same time in South Africa, "evangelist" Rodney Howard-Browne becomes famous for his "laughing revivals". John Amott, pastor of a small Vineyard Church in Toronto fell victim to this Satanic movement and introduced the so-called "Toronto Blessing" to the world.
So as you see, the plot thickens! Wimber's vision speaks of Sarah and laughing just as the laughing sensation begins to sweep pseudo-Christianity.
JOEL'S ARMY:
"Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array. Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness. They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?"
I quoted this passage in its entirety to establish the fact that this is an actual event which parallels endtime passages found in the book of Revelation. Once again, the Latter Rain movement wrests Scripture to the extent that Satan's army at Armageddon becomes an army of "Christian overcomers"! One must keep in mind that Latter Rain theology insists on a global revival to usher in Christ's reign.
"Prophet" Byron Mode of Dallas, Texas, revealed:
"God is romancing his church, and through the impregnation will come the New Birth!"
End Time Handmaidens' Prophecy in Oct. 1994 adds:
"Sarah is a type of Church. The Church is 'withered' and its womb dried up in many places, but God is sending a revival of joy to awaken and renew the Church so that she can bring forth the 'man-child' of joy, even the army of overcomers who will go forth in the likeness and image of the Lord in these last days."
Another "prophet" adds:
"The Lord will raise up a company of prophets, teachers, pastors, and apostles that will be of the spirit of Phinehas...They will be moved by the jealousy of the Lord for the purity of His people...It was said of the Apostle Paul that he was turning the world upside down, it will be said of the Apostles soon to be annointed that they will turn the world right side up. Nations will tremble at the mention of their names."
So let's sum this up: the "church" becomes pregnant and gives birth to Isaac (meaning laughter), a mighty revival will encompass the globe, and as "Isaac" grows up (the revived "church") it evolves into Joel's Army.
PROMISE KEEPERS: How do Promise Keepers fit in? In walks "Joel's Army"! When James Ryle was asked if Promise Keepers could be fulfilling the prophecy of Joel, James Ryle answered: "Yes...300,000 men have come together so far this year under Promise Keepers...never in history have 300,000 men come together except to go to war. These men are gathered for war."
Ed Tarkowski in his book Laughing Phenomena: Its History and Possible Effect on the Church is quoted as saying:
"Promise Keepers has incorporated key doctrines of the Manifest Sons of God into their material. The Feb. 1995 issue of Suitable Helpers, a newsletter for women participating in Promise Keepers expresses that believers can become Christ incarnate: 'Our Lord is calling out a great host of men ready and willing to become 'Christs' in their homes."
Pat Robertson also enters the scene.
"I believe God is going to send a great revival in the next 5 years [a 1995 quote] that will exceed anything our minds can conceive. I'm talking about hundreds and hundreds of millions of people that will enter into the Kingdom all over the world. It's going to be fabulous."
Robertson endorses Latter Rain theology. Let's sum this all up once more. A revived church will produce Joel's Army which will bring judgement on the ungodly. All this will climax in the year 2000 which will be the church's 50th year of Jubilee and celebrate the Old Testament Feast of Tabernacles. At this time, the entire world will gather to worship together and offer to Christ the world in peace...granted, a false peace. It is hard to fathom any fundamentalist being a part of such a celebration between the world and the apostate church. We will be guilty of standing in the way of their peace and deserving of death. The attitude toward any former catholic who refuses to call another Catholic "brother", is labeled a basher and full of hate. One should have no problem seeing where this is leading. It is leading to the death of those of us who will refuse to join the Whore of Babylon and worship with her in her feasts!
November 10, 1994 Pope John Paul II released a 72 page letter entitled "The Coming Of The Third Millenium: Prepare For The Jubilee Of The Year 2000". The pope has summoned people of every nation, every faith to make pilgrimages to Rome and Israel, to encourage peace among the nations and different faiths. He has called for an Inter-Faith Summit of Abrahamic Faiths (Christian, Jews and Muslims) to meet on Mount Sinai in the year 2000. Make no mistakes about it, Pope John Paul II has every intention of exercising his "rights" as Supreme Pontiff and "Spiritual Leader of the Worlds' Religions". The Pope envisions himself the World Religious Leader of a Super Church meeting in the year 2000. Reminding us all of the "Bull Unam Sanctum" in which it states emphatically that "all humans are subject unto the Roman Pontiff".
I realize this is a lot to take in, a master conspiracy orchestrated through the centuries. Satan has been very busy, my dear friends. He has sent his workers into the midst of the church which has become lazy, comfortable and sadly enough, asleep. They follow these apostate leaders blindly as if sleep-walking. When one warns these sleepwalkers they are heading for a ditch, they lash out in anger and cry "leave us alone! You are causing division! You will offend someone!!" This progresses into being called a heretic for the sake of the truth. We are labeled troublemakers, heretics worthy of death.
"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night."
We are seeing the "one world" church forming before our very eyes. At the same time, the "one world" government is also forming. Each has a goal of completion by the year 2000.
"They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service." (John 16:2)
What stands in their way? The only thing standing in their way are those who refuse to cooperate for whatever reasons they have. We have seen the assault on fundamentalists. Waco was a wake- up call for Americans. Although David Koresh may have had strange beliefs, one thing is for sure, he was not mainstream, therefore dangerous and expendable. President Clinton, after the Waco incident, made it clear that those at Waco got what they deserved and hoped it would be a lesson to others. Paul Crouch has openly stated his hatred for those who preach against his heresy or the heresy of other "Christian" leaders. Anyone bold enough to speak out against new movements and false preachers are quick to be labeled divisive nitpickers treated as outcasts.
"Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?" (Gal. 4:16)
"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." (2 Tim. 2:3,4)
These men claim to be gathering for the Lord Jesus, but the above Scripture states clearly that if they were good soldiers of Christ they would not be entangled in this world's affairs! They would tell the Roman Catholics to repent of their idolatries and they would tell the homosexuals to repent of their immorality and be converted. The Promise Keepers want the outside of the cup cleaned and does not care about the inside of the cup. Clean first that which is on the inside! If these men would be converted and born again, they could pick up the word of God for themselves and ask the Lord what He would have them be. Instead, Promise Keepers would have you back in bondage...at the mercy of some self- proclaimed scholar or some pastor who could not even spiritually discern PK's wickedness!
"I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings." (Jer. 23:22)
If these leaders were true men of God, would they not preach the true gospel and cause the people to turn from their wicked ways? Once again, they are trying to clean the outside and leaving the inside full of idolatry and blasphemy!
"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also." (Matt. 23:25,26)
