Stats and More Information

And except for those duped by Fox news (or perhaps themselves strung out on crack), everyone knows that the Occupy insurgencies was not about smoking dope, etc. But one doesn't expect much by the way of percipient thinking where Assdurratin is involved.

Well Israel was allied with the fascistic white supremacist regime in South Africa, and reportedly supported (probably because of her alliance with the USA) fascistic terrorist regimes in Central America. No nation state is a pillar of virtue. Of course, Israel wasn't the only ally of that monstrous regime in South Africa, nor the only supporter of militarist fascist regimes in in Central America. But she operates on the same principles of Realpolitik that other nations operate from. Perhaps it is time to end the era of the nation state altogether.

"Please explain why when Asians first come here, they have no money"
I suggest you learn more about the federal and state dollars that are given to immigrants to this country. Not only are they given housing allowances, but they receive small business loans. THAT is why they flourish when they get here. While you are spending your time whining about what black people do, Asians and "acceptable" immigrants are getting ALL of your tax dollars to get a leg up. Just an FYI...that's also known as welfare.

Greetings, sister. Our sister Angela Yvonne Davis is worthy of much respect even if we do not always agree with her, or agree with her previous affiliations with the Communist party. She came into the struggle via the Black Liberation Movement, and she was probably influenced in this by her mother Sallye Davis, who was active (as member of the Southern Negro Youth Congress) in the struggle back in the 1930s. Like her mom, Angela Davis is both an educator and an activist. And she has been since at least 1967. She was active in SNCC, the Black Panther Party before joining the Communist Party under the influence of the Che/Lumumba Club. Even while abroad as a student she got involved in progressive struggles--support ing, for example, Algerians being persecuted in France. (She noted that the French treated Algerians pretty much the way white supremacists in her native Birmingham, Al treated our people). Folk who are really interested in knowing more abourt her and her role in struggle ought to look at some of heer writings--which Assdurratin refuses to do. And she appears prominently in two of the revolutionary films that I mentioned when I started this thread: BLACK POWER MIXTAPE and FREE ANGELA DAVIS AND ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS. There's a ntice philosophical lecture of hers that I often include in my classes called "Unfinished Lectures on Liberation" prsented by her before two thousand people at UCLA in 1969. But you'e probably have to find it in ANGELA DAVIS reader edited by Joy James, a fellow African-American philosopher with whom I've worked on occasion. ANGELA DAVIS: AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY, WOMEN: RACE AND CLASS, ARE PRISONS OBSOLETE?, ABOLITION DEMOCRACY, THE NATURE OF FREEDOM & OTHER DIFFICULT DIALOGUES are worthy of a look see. She has one on Black women and the Blues tradition, but i can't remember its title right now. There's at least one young woman philosopher whom I met at last month's PHILOSOPHY BORN OF STRUGGLE CONFERENCE who's doing her doctoral thesis on Angela Davis' work. And I've a colleague who's looking at the philosophical connection between Angela Davis and her famous teacher Herbert Marcuse. Trust me: Assdurratin knows NOTHING about any of this, nor very much about Nkrumah (who he claims as his inspiration). He simply rants, but doen't reason. But since this thread is about (or was supposed to be about) FILMS, take a look at FREE ANGELA AND ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS and THE BLACK POWER MIXTAPE. Very interesting.

Mainly, they're dumb and paranoid. In most cases, probably racist. But there's no RATIONAL grounds for the claim that Obama is a Communist. Not even a Christian socialist like Dr. King. Obama's a centrist liberal, and more centrist than liberal. He mentions in DREAMS FROM MY FATHER (p. 100--101) hanging our with Marxist professors as well as structural feminists, and folk into Fanon, postmodernism and other isms. But he shows no commitment to any of this either in his practical politics or his writings. He's about politics. But what politician isn't?

Oh, you had Nordic Whites in Mind? So you follow the Aryan Purity doctrine of the Neo-Natize, and these Eugenic Psychos. Whit-ish is not good enough for you? When you are being inclusive and speaking on all black people, or the majority of black people, then it is also fair to include all of the mass shooters, or even the majority of mass shooters. Those happen to be white. The exception is not the rule. It is hypocrisy to pick and choose a needle out of a hay stack, and claim that it is a stack of needles, and not hay.

Do you not study history? Africa has been overrun by European “Traders”, “Explorers”, am “Missionaries”. Even thing that they found was quickly confiscated and claimed by the colonial power that found them. Any advanced science or technology was kept as a highly regarded military secrete. This still happens today. Trapped in IP laws, we can’t even collaborate to cure cancer today. It might impede on someone else ownership.
Now how did they become over run? It is hard to contemplate the mind of a savage when the things they do defy your common sense and decency. Think about this. The Chinese invented gunpowder. They used it for fireworks, rockets, and festive displays. But the Europeans turned it into a weapon of mass destruction. Hitlers Nazis Perfected the rocket as a killing machine.
Albert Einstein came up with the Theory of Relativity, in the name of science. It was the Mind of the American government that turned his concept into the ultimate weapon of mass destruction. Einstein was a pacifist. He even publicly condemned the use of the Atomic Bomb against Japan. On his death bead, he wrote "I made one great mistake in my life... when I signed the letter to President Roosevelt recommending that atom bombs be made; but there was some justification - the danger that the Germans would make them.”

Your 3rd Point (3).
The black male graduation rate of 47% has more to do with poverty and property value. The National Center for Education and Statistics published a report in 2011 that stated that Low Income Students have a drop out rate that is 5X greater than that of high income students. This is not hard to understand, the people in charge of education does, why do you have such an issue with comprehending this? Two working parents, issues with food and shelter, and other issues of being poor….does not lead to a great learning environment at home.
Further more, all public school are not the same. Many public schools are funded by the taxes they receive from their community. More affluent communities have schools that are better funded. That means better teachers, text books, and buildings. They have a definite advantage when it comes it learning environment. Most adults figure these type of things out when they have to vote in local elections on school funding issues.
Directly or indirectly, these conditions were created and maintained by the openly racist polices of this government. To ignore this fact is to ignore American History.

-John Henry

______________

Your 2nd point (2):
What is the statics for the number of whites murdered at the hands of other white folks? Fair and impartial arguments will begin by presenting facts for both sides of the argument. Your failure to include statics on white on white crime is indicts a bias towards demonizing black people.
The truth, is that crime happens in communities. When whites kill whites, it generally happens in white communities. Pick any of the mass shootings over the past 10 years. When the so called mentally insane white male went insane and killed a mob of people. The percentage of blacks in those murders are less than 1%. That is called white on white crime. Whites mostly kill white people. Blacks mostly kill Blacks. No new revelation here. But of course this doesn’t nat take into account the many historical acts of genocide.

-John Henry

_____________________

You little kiddies are getting beside yourselves. But seeing that you are the future, it is my duty to correct you.
Your first point (1) The racist is distorting the truth. 7.31% is not most or half of blacks. Even this number is inflated when you consider racial profiling.
The Facts:
According to the 2010 US Census, the Black Population is 38,929,319 (12.6% of the US Population)
According to the 2010 FBI Crime Report, the Black Population accounted for 2,846,862 arrest (28% of the total arrest).
The Math: 2,846,862 is only 7.1% of 38,929,319.
Now when we consider that the black population is disproportionately racially profiled; that police are disproportionately placed at a higher rate (per capita) in black communities, and that the whole entire legal network (including judges, police, lawyers, and jury) are never represented proportionally the communities they police (in terms of race.) It is only logical that there is bias favoring the majority. Without this, the rate of arrest and conviction of black people can be cut in half. This evidence by the resent stop and frisk fiasco, or the story of Earl Sampson who has been stopped and questioned by Miami Gardens police 258 times in four years. He’s been searched more than 100 times. And arrested and jailed 56 times. Despite his long rap sheet, Sampson, 28, has never been convicted of anything more serious than possession of marijuana. Is that the story of a violent criminal? No violent criminal history but woman with this many legal infractions definitely inflates the statistics.
With that said it more reasonable to place that arrest at 3% for blacks. (almost half) If I use stop and frisk as a measuring stick of black crime, only 3% if the stops resulted in convictions. So 3% of 7.1% would be even less.
Your failed to acknowledge that 94-97% of all black peoples are good law abiding citizens. This shows your blatant racial bias and inherent racism.

-John Henry

_______________

Please post your crimes statistics and your source. Otherwise I call it pure speculation and racial bias.....Then you speak on glorifying prostitution ... do blacks own brothels in vegas? Whites beat black people for no reason all the time. Watch youtube. Whites join organized gangs called "Police Force" and they beat and torture black men and women with wanton recklessness. The reason you do not speak out against these same acts of violence committed by the police is because it does not effect you. But this does.
For the record, I am not condoning what this young man did, nor do I endorse him. But I will not let you use this as a poster board to advance your racist ideology.

2 things. Check your statistics. What is the population sample that makes up that %50? If you are smart enough to find out, you will discover that it is less than 6% of the black population. So the other 94% or so are good "law abiding" citizens.
2: Even those statistics cant be trusted because there are reported by the Law Enforcement (many of which are racist). It is a matter of historical record that blacks are often tried and convicted of crimes they did not commit Because of racism. Now before you say Racist whites do not exist, then explain to me what is the Aryan Nation, Skin Head, or KKK. Before you say they have nothing to do with politics or law, then explain to me who David Duke is.

“Poverty is the cause” is not a theory. It is a fact based on studies performed by respected professionals in their field. The name of the report is “Trends in High School Dropouts”. It is a free and public report posted on the NCES (National Center for Education and Statistcs) Website. The report number is IES 2012-006.
Further more, Title 1 assistance is only received by 50% of the public schools. The acceptance criteria is that 2% of the student population is poor. That means that wealthy schools with a few poor students also qualifies. Also, poor is not limited to race. A poor white school will also get this assistance. Title 1 can not be used to justify a “black condition”. Finally Title one is a limited funding that is attacked ever year by special interest groups who wish to limit government assistance of the poor. With that said, The limited amount of Title 1 Funds, is minuscule in comparison to the total operation budget of a school districts. Schools use this money sparingly. It is far from being able to level the financial playing field with non-qualifying schools.

Warning. The racial statistics listed in this article are wrong, and misleading. Even though they are written in bold, and black letters, they are not associated with the official SNAP report. The WH report on SNAP listed as the source of this article does not mention race. This article will have you believe that more black people use food stamps than white. These racial statistics come from a PEW survey where they asked 2,511 people over the phone whether they used SNAP benefits or not. Supposedly 13% of those asked where black (about 326 people). These small numbers was used to represent the whole nation. Why go through this when you can just look at the actual enrollment data. If you follow all of the sourced links, you will find this statement about the survey.
"The survey, which was conducted by telephone from Nov. 28 to Dec. 5, 2012, among a nationally representative sample of 2,511 adults, asked respondents if they or a member of their household had ever received Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, welfare or unemployment benefits. Margin of sampling error for the overall results is plus or minus 2.2 percentage points.”
This article amounts to nothing but Right Wing Propaganda, and fodder for the racist trolls.

Khalil, you are my brother for real. Lol.
Perhaps I should make a clarification to my overall point. There are brothers that are there at every protest, demanding answers for injustices for black women. However, nothing garners support in our community like a black man that has been the victim of some injustice. Look at the outrage that is brewing over the Johnson child in Georgia. Or the Davis child in Florida. We get ANGRY about our young boys and men. Yet when you take a case such as the Rekia Boyd one (she's the young woman I referenced in my post to Guest Attorney) , there is very little attention paid to it.
Rodney King was beaten to within an inch of his life by police and black people around the country lost their minds. You cannot find one case in which this happened within the last 30 years for a black woman. It just hasn't happened. It just won't happen.
Brother Malcolm was very clear about how the black man is supposed to protect the black woman. Without us, there would be no you. Until brothers realize this, the brutality against us (and to some extent them...because white people are watching and they see how little respect black men have for black women and they won't respect you because of the lack of it for us) will continue.

Dear brother...sigh...
Men are not targeted more. There's that bias. Black women are just more likely to suffer our injustices in silence. I invite you to review reports regarding black women and stress. As for the rest, since you once again conveniently ignored by challenge, I'm done. Take care.

_________

It is not a divisive approach. It is a matter of intersectionality that needs to be addressed. The cases you listed garnered only a fraction of attention from the black male community. However, they were louder to scream foul than white people when more came out about each case. Again, anyone with common sense can see there is a major difference in how cases such as McBride and Ferrell are viewed in our community. Do you know there was a young woman who was killed within the same time period as Trayvon by a police officer while talking on a cell phone in a crowd? Her case was quickly and quietly pushed to the side. Where were the protests? Where were the cries for justice? Where were the brothers screaming about this injustice to our sister? Nowhere to be seen.
It is very true that we need to stand together, but I see plenty of sisters on the front line every day crying about black men issues. I notice you all absent when it comes to us though. In fact, the number of comments on this article alone are telling. Go pull up one about any black man that was killed though and compare the comments. I suggest you spend more energy trying to rally the brothers than deny what is plainly written on the walls.

Lol. I'm too done, brother.
Why spend several posts disagreeing with me that there is bias in the black community when it comes to injustices against men and women, then turn right around and admit there is? There's that black manhood thing. It's okay to admit that maybe a black woman is right about some things, sir.
As for a wedge, if you notice any of my other posts on this horrible site, you will notice that I am a great defender of the black man when he has been done wrong. I love my brothers. I don't know you and I love you. That is how I was raised. However, I will not sit quietly by while my sisters and their injustices are ignored. For this, you all need to be called out. As Khalil pointed out, it is not just men that do it though. We tend to place more emphasis on black men and their hurts more so than ourselves. This also needs to be addressed.
Dear heart, if you think those were "shots" at you, then it is good we end it here. They were nothing of the sort. Trust me. That was my loving/educating side. I want nothing more than for us to unite. It's not going to happen though if we refuse to acknowledge the truth.
Again, have a very good weekend.

It is true that some Asians come here in poverty. But many qualify for special programs as a result of reparations that the US Government gave them because of war crimes committed against them by the US. The Government officially admitted racial bias and paid them.
Some Japanese and Japanese Americans who were relocated during World War II received compensation for property losses, according to a 1948 law. Congress appropriated $38 million to meet $131 million of claims from among 23,000 claimants.
In 1980, President Jimmy Carter conducted an investigation to determine whether putting Japanese Americans into internment camps was justified well enough by the government. He formed a payment of $20,000 to each individual internment camp survivor.
In 1988, Congress passed and President Ronald Reagan signed legislation that apologized for the internment on behalf of the U.S. government. The legislation said that government actions were based on "race prejudice, war hysteria, and a failure of political leadership".[12] The U.S. government eventually disbursed more than $1.6 billion in reparations to Japanese Americans who had been interned and their heirs.[13]
——
The Chinese were first brought over here to replace the freed African men who were enslaved. They formed China towns, and created their own business, and hired their owns. Now blacks tried this, but the white made sure to destroy any black community or muck it up. Case in point "Google black wall street bombing in Tulsa Oklahoma.” Now the Chinese were lumped together with the Japanese in the WWII reparations calamity. To a racist, all asians were the same.
———
Now the Vietnamese, Laotians, and Cambodians came as refugees of the Vietnam war. Once again the US Government paid them and gave them special privileges.
The Indochina Migration and Refugee Assistance Act, passed on May 23, 1975, under President Gerald Ford, was a response to the Fall of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam War. Under this act, approximately 130,000 refugees from South Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia were allowed to enter the United States under a special status, and the act allotted for special relocation aid and financial assistance
———
The modern Asian Immigrants: It is very expensive to travel abroad in live in the US. Most who come today are sponsored by wealthy families. They have a well established support system to pay for college and school.
——
To conclude, the government has done far worse for the Africans that were subjugated in the Americas. When the government begins to provide the same type of reparations and special privileges, then you have room to complain, because the playing field will be equal.

Fair enough... I think we have some agreement on most of the issues.... However, let me say this. Im a college graduate, im self employed, im 34, I dont sag my pants, I have a low clean haircut. I AM the image that Don Lemon says we should look like. But still, I get treated just like the people that dont fit that image. I have been stopped and pulled over about 6 times this year. Of those times I was pulled out my car and put into handcuffs 2 times. I was never taken to jail. And I was given one ticket out of those 6 times. (Left lane violation) My point is, no matter how we dress, walk, or talk, we will always continue to be seen as a threat that is guilty until proven innocent. So Mr Lemon is not doing us any good by going on his negative black stereotypes crusade.

Me calling them what they are does not make me racist. White people are constantly saying its only a" few". However if it were indeed just a FEW. Then white supremacy could not exist.

This shows how shallow your study of science is. There are many aspects of science that we cant quantify. This is the reason we have theories. There are also many "imaginary" or fictitious forces in science, especially when you get into quantum physics. We know they exist because we see some repeatable phenomenon that proves that "something is there". But we do not really know how, what, or why. So we formulate theories. Why do you think we spend billions of dollars on atomic accelerators to smash atoms? We are searching for some of these imaginary force and "god" particles to try and prove our theories. We know they must exist, but we can not prove it.
Some of us look at the world, we look at the many interconnected bio systems that make the world work, and we look at the universe. Even on a subatomic level, you see a level of order and interdependency that can not be written off as an accident.
After you study all of the science you want. After you display all of your arguments on the big bang theory, then ask yourself how did the something get into the nothing of the vacuum of space. Even if we started from a mass in space, and evolved into the sentient beings that we are, how did the elemental mass get there?
If we evolved as a result of survival of the fittest, as a result of natural selection. Then why did we leave the safety and security of being single celled microorganisms? As it stands now, we need 2 humans to reproduce, we consume more energy to survive, and we are very weak when it comes to survival against nature and the elements. We are a weaker form. The microorganisms are resistant to disease, the can reproduce on their on, and can survive even in our cesspools. After we kill each other off with war, pollution, and disease, these microorganisms will still exist.

Ditto to you Brother BlackHeywood and to the other great Brothers and great Sisters who wrote the truth here.

We as a people have remarkable spending power and we can use our power in denying corporations that oppress us our dollars. We can use billions of dollars to make a change where any store that harms us will pay an economic price. Therefore, we know the truth. We know about our rich legacy and our rich culture. We know what we must do and we realize that we can never acquiesce to evil. That is why we should support each other and fund each other (from legitimate black bookstores, legitimate black business, and to African oriented schools). When the evil racists target one of us, they target all of us. Making humor of our oppression about numerous retailers is truly insensitive (since the victims of discrimination in those stores should not have their lives trivialized) and represents how our suffering is readily mocked by the establishment. You will notice that many in the mainstream media (and other factions in Western society) will not show tips on how they ought to accurately represent black human life, on how to firmly oppose imperialism, or how to respect human civil liberties. We should not receive token tips on how to shop while black. We should receive inspiration and we should do action as a means to help out our own community. It is always important to treat our neighbors as ourselves. We should be made accountable for our actions and we should always condemn the system of white supremacy. We should act and be proactive as part of the solution.

You are clearly wise to the tricks of these slick devils. They love to throw out stats. As I have stated in a earlier comment, stats can be used by anyone to prove their point....
As far as the out of wedlock birth rate among black people. I would say that it does not always translate to 70% of those children not having a father in their life. It simply means that their father is not LIVING IN THE HOME WITH THEM. I know plenty of black men that are squarely in their children's life, but not living in their home. These slick devils know this. But they try to throw out the out of wedlock/single parent stats at us to justify their ridiculous stereotypes of black men and our women.... yes it is always best for the maternal parents to be married and in the home of the children. Yes black men and black women have work to do. However, it is nothing but pure arrogance and racist for them to continue to comment on things that they have not taken the time to properly understand. I salute you for your comments on this matter.

You made interesting words. The love of self and the knowledge is very important for black men and anyone. Without that, nothing changes. Now, I am sure you mean some black men have self hatred and other issues. Since, you do not want to generalize here, because there are plenty of black men who are strong, have great leadership qualities, and are fighting for the truth in our community. Many racists always want to degrade and stereotype Black Men and Black Women into gross stereotypes. That is wrong. Black Men should be treated with dignity and with respect. Black Women should be treated with dignity and with respect too.
In real life, I know strong black men who are teachers, neighbors, and other workers who love their families, who care for children, and who are diligently enacting solutions in their everyday lives. Now, black men with mental illness should be treated with compassion.
They should not be scapegoated for all ills in the black community. They should not be ignored nor treated as social pariahs. They need help. No man is an island. Anyone with mental illness should receive assistance from experts and from us in the black community. Now, black women are loyal, strong, and very intelligent. That is true. Black Unity between black men and black women is a necessity as a means to make solutions. Black men can not create liberation alone. Black women can not create liberation alone. Black men and Black women including black children working together can make black liberation a reality. Self hatred should be opposed strongly and you are 100 percent right on that point. Black families are important and we should use radical efforts as a means to grow black families. Degrading black men and degrading black women are not solutions. The solution is to address not only self hatred, but to deal with finding ways to uplift Black Men without patronize, to uplift Black Women, and to handle issues in our community constructively (like confronting poverty, confronting evil, and creating programs to build up our people).
You made many great points. We certainly need this discussion in our community. Have a Great Day.
