The Final Nail In The Coffin of Freedom ?

 

          "He has the strength, experience, personal commitment and authority to accomplish this critical mission":   This statement was made by George W. Bush, in reference to the newly "appointed" head of, the newly formed, "Homeland SSecurity":  Tom Ridge.  As you will see, with the exposure of Tom Ridge's background, that there is more than meets the eye in this sinister encrypted message.

            In order to see the full implications of this sinister message, we could go back to the middle age (dark age) inquisitions, but for now, we’ll start in the early 1950’s:  when certain democratic senators, including John Kennedy, were holding secret meetings, ironing out the details to turn VietNam into a Roman Catholic state; and from the words of the  perpetrators themselves:

            In the early 1950’s the CIA brought Ngo Dihn Diem to New York City, where he was trained, by Cardinal Francis “burn-em alive” Spellman, in the procedures of turning VietNam into a Roman Catholic state.  To get non-Catholic politicians, military and government officials to participate: was offered the ever, monetarily lucrative: opium out of the, ever fertile, Southeast Asian jungles.  The program was implemented when Diem was sent back to VietNam and replaced, the self exiled, Bao Dai (who had tried to do the same thing under French rule).  From the middle fifties to 2 Nov 1963 Diem worked, unceasingly (for the Vatican), in the systematic task detailed to him by Spellman.  Diem replaced all government officials (and everyone in any position of power or influence) with devout Roman Catholics.  Diem then changed laws that reflected a total bias in favor of Catholics (and against all other religions).  Land was given to Catholics while peoples of all other persuasions were forced to live under a legal and tax structure that was so oppressive that it caused an exodus of North Vietnamese Catholics to the South and South Vietnamese Buddhists to the North.  Many Buddhists remained in the South in an attempt to affect change for more tolerant government policies:  These people became Viet Cong (VC).  Not content with the progress he was making: Diem started rounding up all the Buddhists, especially monks, and put them into concentration camps.  When Diem started killing monks, it caused a rebellion in the general population: many demonstrations with several monks committing suicide in protest:  one of these was Thich Quang Duc, who set himself on fire in the middle of a busy intersection in Saigon, 11 June 1963, bringing international attention to Diems religious genocide:  so much so that it brought a stern warning from President Kennedy to stop the killings.  Thinking Spellman would take care of Kennedy and to keep on his schedule of "conversion", Diem continued the killings:  fearing exposure of the connection of the Catholic church to the killings:  Kennedy has Diem and his brother killed in a CIA backed coup, 2 Nov 1963(effectively stopping the genocide).  Twenty days later Kennedy is assassinated in Dealy Plaza (read: JESUIT, Vatican Tyranny, for the connection between the assassinations of John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.).

            We now move to Dec 1967, though not officially implemented until July 1968, by official decree of, Catholic President, Nguyen Van Thieu:  

    May 1968,  General Edward G. Landsdale (CIA Saigon station chief and Knight of Malta) reported to ambassador Bunker that "Thieu's efforts to create a base of support in both Houses have been made difficult by, Buddhist backed, Vice President, Ky's influence among some important senators and Ky's influence over the Democratic Bloc in the lower House.":

    2 June 1968,  Ky's main support bloc, while meeting at a command post in Cholon district of Saigon, was attacked with rocket and machine gun fire from a U.S. Army helicopter:  killing Lieutenant Colonel Pho Quoc Chu (Ky's brother-in-law);  Lieutenant Colonel Dao Ba Phuoc;  Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Luan;  Major Le Ngoc Tru and Major Nguyen Bao Thuy:  effectively wiping out Ky's political financial base.    

    Now given the official title of  “Phoenix” Program: planned and implemented solely by the CIA:  the "conversion" process (genocide) of the South Vietnamese Buddhists starts again.  As will become only too apparent, the Phoenix Program was a program of extermination.  As you read, keep in mind that the only difference between the Phoenix Program and “Homeland SSecurity” is their names.

            In the Phoenix Program, offices were set up from top government levels down to the local communities.  These operatives, from the top level of command all the way down to the PRU (Provincial Reconnaissance Units) operated with total impunity.

Their function:

(1)    Collate intelligence on community infrastructure.

(2)    Carry out sweeps through communities: picking up people at random, along with all those named by “anonymous informants”, and indefinitely detained  in CIA interrogation centers.

(3)    Interrogation of suspects: according to the “CIA Manual For Interrogation and Elimination”:  proves that these procedures were standard policy:  Not one person interrogated, as a VC, ever survived this “procedure”. 

(4)    Neutralize (kill) targeted members of communities:  often carried out by CIA lead locals organized into "Provincial Reconnaissance Units" (PRU).

(5)    Units are pressured from higher ups to fill “numerical quotas” to be “neutralized” (killed):  quota pressure forced PRU to neutralize all who cannot prove their innocence of “suspicious activity”:  resulting in indiscriminate brutality, torture and murder. (U.S. & Saigon intel services maintained active lists of VC/Buddhist cadre marked for assassination.  Phoenix Program for 1969 called for "neutralizing" 1800 a month).

(6)    Suspects were not allowed:  trial, preliminary hearing, legal representation, confront accusers, plead in own behalf or present evidence in their defense. 

(7)    Quotas were used for sentencing:  proving, conclusively, that the entire Phoenix Program was academic to genocide (40,994 dead: mostly women and children): and all on the, non descriptive, intentionally vague, presumption of “suspicious activity”. (U.S. military personnel, considered security risks, were also ordered killed by CIA directors). 

1975 issue of Counter-Spy magazine described the "Phoenix Program" as "the most indiscriminate and massive program of political murder since the Nazi death camps of WW II. 

The Phoenix Program/Homeland SSecurity is the incorporation of unam sanctam, 18 Nov 1302, of Pope Boniface VIII:  "We are informed by the text of the gospels that in this church and in its power are two swords;  namely the spiritual and the temporal.  For when the Apostles say:  "Behold here are two swords"[Luke 22:38] that is to say,  in the church,  since the Apostles were speaking,  the Lord did not reply that there were to many,  but sufficient.  Certainly the one who denies that the temporal sword is in the power of Peter has not listened well to the word of the Lord commanding:  "Put up thy sword into thy scabbard"[Mt. 26:52].  Both,  therefore, are in the power of the church,  that is to say,  the spiritual and the material sword,  but the former is to be administered-for-the church but the latter-by-the church;  the former in the hands of the priests;  the latter in the hands of kings and soldiers,  but at the will and sufferance of the priest".

By her own admission, Rome intends to destroy America, where she is entrenching herself with strength.  An article in The Union and Echo, official diocesan organ of the Roman Catholic Church in Buffalo, in December 1950, declared: "At the rate of 126,000 converts a year in the United States it would take us too long [to Romanise America].  We must convert Politics, Economics, Sociology, Business, Entertainment, Labor and management, the Department of State and the Executive Branch of our Government to Christian and hence Catholic principles."

This was put in no uncertain terms by "Father" Patrick O'Brien quoted in L'Aurora of the same date:  "We control America and we do not propose to stop until America or Americans are genuinely Roman Catholic and remain so." "We, the Hierarchy of the Holy Catholic church, if necessary, shall change, mend, or blot out the present Constitution so that the President may enforce his, or rather our, humanitarian programme and all phases of human rights, as laid down by our saintly Popes and the Holy Mother Church.  We are going to have our laws made and enforced according to the Holy See and the Popes and the canon law of the Papal throne.  Our entire social structure must be rebuilt on that basis.  Our educational laws must be constructed to end the atheism, the Red peril of totalitarianism, Protestantism, Communism, Socialism and all other of like ilk and stamp, be driven from this fair land.  We control America and we do not propose to stop until America or Americans are genuinely Roman Catholic and remain so."  http://www.ianpaisley.org/article.asp?ArtKey=rome_010198  

  

The Phoenix Program was concocted by CIA's Far East Division Chief, William Colby (Jesuit trained, Knight of Malta;  WWII "Vatican Ratline" operative: working in the Vatican with James Jesus Angleton {awarded the Sovereign Military Order of Malta by Pope Pius XII for rescuing Prince Valerio Burghese/"Black Prince": leader of the neo-fascist syndicate: "Movimento Sociale Italiano" from a twelve year prison sentence given him at Nuremberg} who was an operative in the assassination of John Kennedy), was implemented by CIA station chief, William Casey (Sovereign Knight of Malta: "Vatican Ratline" operative).  Tom Ridge (Knight of Columbus), Oliver North and Bob Kerry (Nebraska Senator) were among the operatives in the Phoenix Program (genocide).

All of the CIA programs, since the VietNam War, are simply extensions of the Phoenix Program:  “Iran-Contra”(drugs and weapons smuggling operation) in Nicaragua (concocted by William Casey and Oliver North);  Bush’s raid on Panama (20,000 dead).  And what more we could say about the rest of South and Central America; Ireland; Croatia; Serbia (read: KOSOVO, Vatican Tyranny); Macedonia; Montenegro; Afghanistan; Indonesia(500,000 murdered [the names of all people rounded up was accumulated, collated and given to Suharto (put into power through a CIA coup)  by the CIA]  in four months, by Suharto's army: under the direction and assistance [given jeeps, weapons, field radios {Collins: single side band, KWM-2's: radio messages monitored by National Security Agency: keeping track of the incarcerated and dead, then relaying the info to Washington D.C. where a running count was kept in maintaining a numerical quota} from Clark Field in the Philippines]  of the CIA) etc: Colby said the program of genocide in Indonesia and the Phoenix Program were the same.  The schools of training for these indigenous government terrorists are, Western Hemisphere Institute For Security Cooperation, formerly The School of The Americas (Ft. Benning Ga.) and The Counter-Insurgency Training Center (Ft. Bragg, Fayetteville, N.C.).  

The federalization of all local and county/provincial and state governments by force, under the guise of the "War On Drugs", is typified by the Mexican military's, "Airborne Group Special Forces" slaughter of 45 Mayan Indians (who were trying to maintain their local sovereignty) at Acteal, Chiapas, Mexico:  Mexico's version of Homeland SSecurity:  In Oct. 95  William Perry (U.S. Secretary of Defense) met with his Mexican counterpart, Enrique Cervantes Aquirre: within months, of Perry's visit, the first group of young Mexican military officers were training in "anti-drug operations" at the Counter-Insurgency Training Center at Ft. Bragg, N.C.  In April 96 Perry and Aquirre signed a military aid package to Mexico:  the agreement gave Mexico:  73 Huey helicopters;  4 C-26 reconnaissance planes;  500 armored personnel carriers (bringing Mexico's total to 7000);  high tech spy hardware;  rifles;  grenades;  flame throwers;  $50,000,000 for arms and training (at Ft. Louis Freeh (Opus Dei { http://geocities.com/catolicos2001/truth.htm }:  who’s personal goons alter FBI lab reports to make them read the way he wants) was head of the FBI when they blew up the Alfred P. Murray Federal building in Oklahoma City (not a single FBI or BATF employee in the building when it went down;  when have you ever seen any structure blow up in an "L" pattern from a single explosive source ?), which got Clinton's, unconstitutional, "Counter - Terrorism" bill through congress and destroyed the records of the investigations of the government holocaust (at Mt. Carmel, outside Waco, Texas), and Iran-Contra (weapons and drugs smuggling operation run out of the airfield at Mena, Arkansas), kept in the Alfred P. Murray federal building safe.  In the 9/11/01 World Trade Center disaster (Bush hopes will result in the, totalitarian, "Homeland Security" passage in Congress):  40,000 people did not show up for work;  terrorist pilots received CIA flight training at Pensacola Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla.;  Bush issues executive order W199I-WF-213589, threatening prosecution of FBI agents for reporting on Al Qaeda, after they had reported several working at several US International Airports, two months before 9/11/01;  Bush stops all subsequent investigation into the disaster: 

....the most telling of government involvement in 9/11: "NORAD"....

"NORAD": America's (and Canada's) air "national security" system, on 9/11/01, showed all of the professionalism of the "Three Stooges":  when an aircraft:  makes a deviation from its flight plan; turns off its transponder; loses radio contact with a tower, or any combination thereof, a fighter aircraft immediate/rapid deployment/intercept (scramble) is automatically launched .... that is on any day except 9/11/01.  About a half hour after flight 11 was taken over (and its IFF transponder turned off), and eight minutes after it hit building 1 of the World Trade Center, two F-15 fighter aircraft are "scrambled" from Otis air force base at Falmouth Mass.  To make sure they didn't catch and intercept flight 175 before it flew into WTC building 2 eight minutes later:  the two F-15s fly at 447 mph (23.8% of their optimum speed and 53 mph slower than flight 175);  two F-15's flying off the coast of Long Island are not redeployed to intercept either flight 11 or 175 until after flight 175 hits WTC building 2 .... and it gets better (or worse) .... by the time the four F-15s arrive over Manhattan the only jetliner still flying, with its IFF transponder off, has made a 180 degree turn over southern Ohio and has been headed for Washington D.C. for 12 minutes and still 34 minutes from the Pentagon.  After the airliner hits the Pentagon (or so we are supposed to believe), we now know there was no flight 77 into the Pentagon, but was a missile, in all likelyhood fired from one of the two F-16s from Andrews air force base(10 miles from the Pentagon) that did a slow "fly over" of  the carnage immediately after the Pentagon was hit. 

There were seven buildings in the World Trade Center complex: five, out of the original seven, went down.  Buildings 1 and 2 are all you hear about (no explanation is ever given for the other three).  Immediately after flight 175 flies into building 2, an explosion is seen, going through the roof of building 6, rising 550 ft. into the air; re-enforcing steel is partially vaporized.  Explosions are seen inside building 7 and collapses in on itself (in the same demolition fashion as the other 4) after 5:30pm.  Demolition explosions are seen at every level, going off in sequence, as building 1 and 2 are collapsing.  There are three rules of operation to every terrorist organization:  (1) commit the terrorist act; (2) take credit for the evil deed; (3) go on international TV, with unit colors and weapons, and make demands from the people you committed the act against:  Who took credit for 9/11/01?: NOBODY!!  After this fact was being talked about on TV, the feds suddenly came up with "the magic letter" (like "the magic bullet" in the Kennedy assassination) written by Al Qaeda: taking credit for the trade center disaster, which was later proven to be a forgery: Bush lies again!  Georgia Congresswoman, Cynthia McKinney, is ostracized, by the administration, Congress, media and, so called, conservative groups, for calling for a more thorough investigation into the disaster;  World Trade Center bombing (26 Feb 93):  Arab intermediary (between FBI and the Arab terrorists) was given two bombs, by the FBI, for the terrorists (one real and one dummy):  when the intermediary asked the FBI which bomb he should give the terrorists, the FBI control agent said: "give them the real one": realizing the significance of that statement, the intermediary asked the FBI agent a second time and, after a long hesitation, got the same response (seen on C-Span);   DC snipers: John Alan Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo: who's names were on the police desks from the beginning (and that of their car) went about their killing spree unhindered by any authorities.  The police never did look for them: (even after their car had been reported being at at least three of the murder crime scenes): They were located (in a well lit-up rest area) and caught by private citizens who called the police, and after waiting thirty minutes called them again: after ten to fifteen more minutes the cops finally show up.  John Alan Muhammad's wife works in the office of U.S. Attorney General, John Ashcroft (if you think that's a coincidence, I have some ocean front property in Kansas I'll be glad to sell you).  The Anthrax virus mailed to Congressmen and others in DC has been traced to Fort Detrick Army Medical Center (the AIDS virus was invented by the Army also), Frederick Maryland.  

Adolph Hitler (put into the chancelory by Cardinal Secretary of State, Eugenio Pacelli)  had his Reichstag fire:  hanging, Dutch communist, Marinus van der Lubbe for the fire Goering had set:  persuading President von Hendenberg to execute executive order: Die Verordnung des Reichspraesidenten zum Schuetz von Volkund Staat (ordinance of Reichspresident for the Defense of the People and State).  The Verordnung suspended the portions of the German Constitution equivalent to our Bill of Rights:  transfering sovereignty from the German people to the Nazi regime: shutting down dissenting press;  political rivals rounded up and sent to Dachau Concentration Camp ( paving the way for Endloesung, Holocaust {"Final Solution"});  Australia had its "Port Arthur Massacre", perpetrated by the Australian government (28 April 96, the "lone nut" (patsy): Martin Bryant (arrested, held in isolation for weeks without benefit of council; tortured with mind altering techniques: easy to do with an I.Q. of 66; resulting in his "persuasion" to accept a plea bargain; resulting in the government not having to present its flimsy case in court, where they knew they didn't stand a chance) being prosecuted in the media before he is even arrested and the Australian governments corporate stonewalling of all subsequent investigation into the disaster:  sound familiar?:  this is almost "carbon copy" of what happened to James Earl Ray), resulting in the passage of anti-gun legislation/confiscation and the, now infamous, "2000 Aid To Civilian Authorities" (25 Aug 00): amendment to the Defense Act: authorizing the Australian military to shoot and kill Australian citizens, which has resulted in random raids by the Australian police: such as "Operation Vikings 12" (22 Sept 02: 600+ police, and dogs, aggressively confronting people, without provocation, at random in Burwood, Marrickville, Newtown, St. George, Surry Hills, Kings Cross and Sydney CBD: entering places of business without invitation or provocation, etc).  Of course the Australian citizen can no longer fend off any tyrannical government aggression, since his guns have been confiscated for his "protection".  Evidently Australia doesn't have a Bill of Rights, at least not any longer:  Australia's "Civilian Internment Camps" are under construction on Christmas Island.

Blast from the past:

First of all, "Nazi" was gutter slang for the verb "to nationalize".  The Bider-Meinhoff gang gave themselves the moniker.  The official title of the Nazi Party was "The National Socialist Workers Party of Germany". Hitler and the Brownshirts advocated the nationalization of education, health care, transportation, national resources, manufacturing, distribution and law enforcement.  (Homeland SSecurity)

Hitler came to power by turning the working class, unemployed, and academic elite against the conservative republic.  After Der Fuhrer's election ceased being a political conspiracy and was transformed into a fashionable social phenomenon, party membership was especially popular with educators, bureaucrats, and the press. ("Students in service to America", George Bush).

Being a Nazi was "politically correct" (patriotic).  They called themselves "The Children of the New Age of World Order" and looked down their noses at everyone else.  As Hitler acquired more power, he refered to his critics as "the dark forces of anarchy and hatred" (axis of evil?).  Anyone who questioned Nazi high-handedness in the German press was branded a "conservative reactionary" (domestic terrorist).  Joseph Goebbels, minister of propaganda and communications, proclaimed a "New World Order".  The Nazi reign of terror began with false news reports on the Jews, Bohemians and Gypsies: who were said to be arming themselves to overthrow the "New World Order" (see Al-Qaeda's House of Horrors):  Hitler demanded that all good people register their guns so that they would not fall into the hands of the "terrorists and madmen".  Right-wing fanatics of the "Old Order" (based on the Constitution, Bill of Rights, limited government, and Judeo-Christian values) who protested firearms registration were arrested by the S.S. and put in jail for "fomenting hatred against the Government of the German people" (Fatherland/Homeland Security).

Then Goering set the Reichstag fire and Hitler ram-rodded an "Emergency Anti-Terrorist Act" ("Patriot Act") through Parliament that gave the Gestapo (Homeland Security) extraordinary powers.  The leader then declared that for the well-being of the German people, all private firearms were to be confiscated by the Gestapo and the Wermotten (federal law enforcement and military).  German citizens who refused to surrender their guns when the "jack boots" (Gestapo) came calling, were murdered in their homes: the S.W.A.T. team was invented and perfected, by the Gestapo, for this purpose.  The Gestapo was the federal marshals of the Third Reich.

When the Policia Bewakken, or local police, refused to take away guns from townsfolk, they themselves were disarmed, dragged into the street and shot to death by the S.A. and S.S. (Nazi versions of the B.A.T.F. and F.B.I.):  local ministers speeking out against these atrocities were imprisoned and never seen again.  The Gestapo confiscated and seized homes, businesses, bank accounts, and the personal belongings of wealthy conservative citizens who had prospered in the old Republic (warrantless searches, asset forfeiture and seizure, condemnation: "Medical Emergency Powers Act").

Pamphleteers who urged revolt against the Nazis were shot on site by national law enforcement and the military.  Photocopying shops were urged to spy on customers and report "suspicious activity".  Gypsies and Jews were detained and sent to labor camps.  mountain roads, throughout central Europe, were closed to prevent the escape of fugitives into the wilderness ("Wildlands Project"), and to prevent the movement and concealment of partisan resistant fighters.  Public schools rewrote history and Hitler youth groups taught the children to report their parents to their teachers for anti-Nazi remarks.  Such parents disappeared.  Pagan animism became the state religion of the Third Reich and Christians were widely condemned as "right wing fanatics".  Millions of books were burned first and then people.  Millions of them burned in huge ovens after being gassed to death.  Unmarried women were paid large sums of money to have babies out of wedlock and then given medals for it.  Evil was declared as being good, and good was condemned as being evil.  World Order was coming and the German people were going to be the "peacekeepers".  [Thomas Colton Rutherford]    

Hitler,  while reflecting on the Jewish Holocaust, stated: "in Himmler I see our Ignatius de Loyola".   Frans Von Papen (Jesuit, Chancellor for six months before Hitler, first Vice Chancellor of the Third Reich) stated, in reference to the death camps, "Hitler has put into practice the high ideals of the Papacy".  

UNDISPUTED PROOF:  U.S. INTELLIGENCE IS BEHIND GLOBAL TERRORISM:   Michael Meiring, who operated under the cover of being a treasure hunter, was in fact, a CIA operative under the direct protection of the White House.  After ten years of associating himself with Islamic groups:  Abu Sayef; MNLF;  Moro Islamic Liberation Front and other Philippine based Islamic groups: supplying them with U.S. counterfeit notes (courtesy of U.S. Intelligence) and bomb making materials, to make terrorist attacks within the Philippines:  to give the U.S. the pretext to move in and create another "Phoenix Program/Homeland SSecurity", just like they did in Viet Nam (40,994 dead: mostly women and children) and Indonesia (500,000 dead in four months).  Not content with waiting for one of his Islamic acquaintances to act, or possibly to keep on a global agenda time table: Michael Meiring constructs a bomb himself (to create another "Al Qaeda attack"), in a Philippine hotel room, where he prematurely detonates the device, blowing off both of his own legs.  It seems when undisputed proof surfaced connecting the CIA, NSA, British Intelligence, U.S. Secret Service and the FBI with the 16 May 2002 blast:  Mr. Meiring is spirited away in a NSA/FBI medivac to San Diego CA for his emergency care:  verifying his employ as a black ops spook and giving the Philippines a reprieve, if only temporarily.

John Ashcroft (who went to church and college with, and is a personal friend of, TBN's, Paul Crouch:  who calls Ashcroft a Christian, a friend and a servant of GOD!) has announced a desire/plan for MORE "civilian internment camps" to be built.  http://www.apfn.org/apfn/camps_confirmed.htm ,  http://www.freedomfiles.org/war/fema.htm ,  http://www.greaterthings.com/news/Concentration_Camps/  for U.S. citizens "he" deems to be "enemy combatants".  Ashcrofts plan, disclosed last week but little publicized, would allow him to order the indefinite incarceration of U.S. citizens and summarily strip them of their Constitutional Rights and access to the courts by declaring them "enemy combatants".  The camp plan is forged at an optimistic time for Ashcroft's inner circle psychopaths, who have been watching two test cases to see if their vision could become a reality:  The cases of Jose Padilla and Yaser Esam Hamdi will determine if U.S. citizens can be held without charges and subject to arbitrary and unchecked authority of the government.  In response to a federal judges order to turn over underlying evidence justifying Hamdi's barbaric treatment, the Justice Dept. stated:  "The Judge must simply accept its declaration and cannot interfere with the "president's absolute authority" in "a time of war".  

Its not like this is the first time civilian internment camps have been proposed by "appointed" government officials:  on 3 Aug 1948, J. Edgar Hoover (homosexual - cross dresser,Knight of Malta and 33rd degree Mason) met with Attorney General J. Howard McGrath to form a plan that would allow President Truman to suspend constitution liberties during a national emergency:  code named "Security Portfolio", the plan, when activated, would authorize the FBI to summarily arrest up to 20,000 people and place them in "national security detention camps".  Prisoners would not have the right to a court hearing, confront accusers or habeas corpus appeal.  Meanwhile, "Security Portfolio" allowed the FBI to develop a watch list of those who would be detained, as well as detailed info on their personal lives and that of their families, friends, neighbors, etc. (read: "Above The Law", by, David Burnam).  Two years later Congress approved the Internal Security Act of 1950 which contained a provision authorizing an emergency detention plan.  Hoover was dissatisfied with the law because it did not suspend the constitution and it guaranteed the right of habeas corpus.  "For two years, while the FBI continued to secretly establish the detention camps and work out detailed seizure plans for thousands of individuals, Hoover kept badgering... When watching these charismatic (founded by Pope John Paul II), prosperity gospel,  preachers(?) on TV, a pattern develops, they all adhere to:  "the walls (denominational guidelines/differences) are coming down;  denominations are coming together ...Oh ... Hallelujah!";   "as  soon as He removes the "old order brethren", "old way", "old generation", "old fuddy duddies", "moralists", "pharisees", "legalists", "doctrinal believers", old Sanhedrin", etc.  (real Christians) from the world, GOD is going to bring about a  worldwide revival that the world has never seen before;  forget all of these legalistic doctrines";  "lets just get this Gospel out to the lost!" (as if you could win the lost to Christ without Bible doctrine);  the overall theme of their emotional hype invariably builds up the "believer" (exalting the flesh) as much, if not more, than Christ, through such feel good, flesh favoring terms as, "since Christ is in you (indwelling Holy Spirit), you are a part of Jesus Christ ... therefore you are a member of the family of GOD ... therefore you are little gods" etc. etc.  (This is the opposite of what the apostle Paul espoused:  "He must increase and I must decrease" (this is the same thing GOD kicked Lucifer out of Heaven and made him satan for:  "I will exalt my throne above the stars, I will be as the most high").      

It seems nothing gets Paul Crouch's feathers ruffled quicker that to be asked about his doctrinal beliefs:  like dracula throwing back his cape and bearing his teeth: count Crouch (showing himself for what he really is, has said (on National TV):  "That old rotten Sanhedrin crowd, twice dead, plucked up by the roots .... they're damned and on their way to hell and I don't think there's any redemption for them .... the hypocrites, the heresy hunters that want to find a little mote of illegal doctrine in some Christians eyes ... I say to hell with you ! .... I want to say to all you scribes, pharisees,   heresy-hunters, all of you that are around pickin' little bits of doctrinal error out of everybody's eyes and dividin' the Body of Christ .... get out of God's way, stop blockin God's bridges, or God's goin' to shoot you if I don't .... let Him sort out all this doctrinal doodoo ! .... I refuse to argue any longer with any of you out there !  Don't even call me if you want to argue doctrine, if you want to straighten somebody out .... criticize Ken Copeland .... or Dad Hagin.  Get out of my life !  I don't even want to talk to you .... I don't want to see your ugly face !"  (I wonder if Paul Crouch has ever read:  "That which you have done unto the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me" .... "Out of thine own mouth will I condemn thee" ?)

When looking into Paul Crouch's, Springfield and Kansas City, Missouri, past it becomes very apparent why it is not without substantial reason that Paul Crouch bears his demonic teeth at the very thought of revealing his "doctrinal belief's":  It seems he is connected to some very seedy religious characters, like William Branham, George Warnock, Oral Roberts, Paul Cain, Jack Deere, Bob Jones (not Bob Jones of Bob Jones University, S.C.), through the religious organization, Vineyard Ministries, which holds to a Gnostic (those who believe only they, within their own select group, who get divine revelations and visions from GOD, are "qualified" to interpret scripture for everyone else) doctrine that they affectionately refer to as The Latter Rain/ Manifest Sons of God,  that went underground in 1949 and resurfaced in the 1960's as the Manchild Company:     

Modern Prophets have received "new revelations" of the end-time which, until now, have not been understood by the Church.  Truly, a "New Breed" of Apostles and Prophets is being raised up who will assume their end-time role of leading the Church to take dominion and to execute God's judgment in the world. 

".... The Church movement, like all else, is but a temporary expedient and serves but a transient resting place for the evolving life.  Eventually, there will appear the Church Universal, and its definite outline will appear towards the close of this century .... This Church will be nurtured into activity by the Christ and His disciples when the outpouring of the Christ principle, the TRUE second Coming has been accomplished ... the church, as a teaching factor, should take the great basic doctrines and (shattering the old forms in which they are expressed and held) show there true and inner spiritual significance.  The prime work of the Church is to teach, and teach ceaselessly, preserving the outer appearance in order to reach the many who are accustomed to Church usages.  Teachers must be trained;  Bible knowledge must be spread;  the sacraments (Catholic) must be mystically (demonically) interpreted .... 

Paul Cain says: "God is raising up a new standard, a new banner if you will, that's going to radically change the expression, the understanding of Christianity in our generation ... God has invited us to have a role in establishing this NEW ORDER of Christianity ... God is offering to this generation something He has never offered to any other generation ... Beware lest OLD ORDER brethren (real Christians) rob you and steal this hope from you !"

Bob Jones says:  "I have called the best of every blood line in earth unto this generation ... I have elected to bring them forth in this generation ... THE ELECT GENERATION ... even the bloodline of Paul ... of David ... of Peter, James and John ... They will even be superior to them in heart, stature and love for me ... Your children will possess the spirit without measure ... They will move into things of the supernatural that no one has ever moved in before ... coming into the DEVINE NATURE of Jesus Christ ... a Church that has reached the full maturity of the GODMAN !  This generation ... is going to see the beginning of this WORLD WIDE NEW ORDER."

Are you having difficulty receiving this "new revelation"?  Then perhaps you have been interpreting your Bible in the "old way"-- comparing Scripture with Scripture ... being careful to rightly divide the Word of truth.  If this describes you, then you belong to the "Old Generation" which will not enter in to "possess the land" in the Latter Rain Revival.  You may even be a member of a denominational church with its dogmatic confession of faith and statement of doctrine.  These legalistic forms will be relics of the past in the up and coming "Post denominational Church."  Paul Cain advises that you "dump all that carnal stuff" (doctrine) and listen to what the "spirit" is saying to the churches through the Latter Rain Prophets and Apostles, who are dispensing many "new, sacred truths:" 

In your Bible you will want to change the book of "The Revelation of Jesus Christ" to "The Manifestation of the Sons of God."  We are not to be looking for the "coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering unto Him."  That would be an "escapist mentality" to be repented of at once if we would be Overcomers.  Instead we should be looking forward to the glorification of the Corporate Church, which will become perfect and immortal here on earth before the Second Coming.  In fact, as Jesus comes "spiritually and invisibly" to His Church, He will actually "incarnate" the Corporate Body and reveal Himself to the world through miraculous signs and wonders performed by the "Manifest Sons of God." "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled." Matt: 5:18;  "And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass than for one tittle of the law to fail." Luke: 16:17;  "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,  for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." II Tim: 3:16-17;  "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book,  If any man shall add unto these things,  God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy,  God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the Holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Rev: 22:18-19;  "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders;  insomuch that,  if it were possible,  they shall deceive the very elect." Matt: 24:24;  "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed(anathama; damned to hell).  As we said before, so say I now again, If any preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." Gal: 1:8-9.

This great end-time Company is really the "Manchild" of Revelation 12 which will rule the nations with a rod of iron.  (you will need to replace Israel with the Church in this passage.)  This end-time Church is also the prophetic fulfillment of the dreadful army in Joel 2, which is Gods agent of judgment to cleans the earth of evil during the "times of restitution."  (You will find this army also in Revelation 9!)  Since the Manifest Sons of God are "the Christ," they will be putting all things under their (oops) His feet, including the "old order" brethren (real Christians). 

Paul Crouch puts his stamp of approval on this self serving doctrine with his own self serving exegesis of Jesus parable:  "Read the parable of the wheat and the tares in Matthew 13:24-30 and you will see that at the end of this age the "ANGELS" are sent forth to remove evil from the earth.  That word "ANGELS" also means messengers.  So God may use some of us to finish up the work of this age."

If you are wondering what all this religious/Illuminati hype is for, it's really quite simple.  When people are faced with a crisis they have no solution for; they go to church.  This is one of the reasons Billy Sunday had such great crowds at his revival meetings during the depression.  These Illuminati satanists are well aware of this fact, hence the purpose for a large phony religion:  when all of the real christians are gone, (disappearing through Homeland Security and US Patriot Act II):   there will be Paul Crouch, Pat Robertson, Benny Hinn, D. James Kennedy, Jack Van Impe, Oral Roberts, Jerry Falwell, Billy Graham(33rd degree Mason) and the rest of the Vatican ilk, standing with open arms, and that big smile of deceit, welcoming the deceived into satans church under the guise of christianity:  All national parks and forests have been given over to the United Nations and are now International Parks and International Forests:  which are being closed and the roads into them are being dug up to keep people from having that avenue of finding a place to hide. 

The sole purpose for these inquisitions is to bring about the demise of freedom and establish a totalitarian Roman Catholic (Anti-Christ) world (Illuminati) through "outcome based education":  "no child left behind" (every child left behind),  coercion, torture, murder and outright genocide is summated by the "Secret Treaty of Verona", "KOSOVO, Vatican Tyranny" (on this web site) and the first paragraph of page58, in the publication: “Toward a Catholic Constitution”, by, Leonard Swidler (Jesuit: professor of inter-religious dialog at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA):

With this in mind, you can more readily understand the encrypted statement of George W. Bush, when he said: “He has the strength (proven practice of genocide), experience (practice of genocide in the Phoenix Program), personal commitment (dedicated to his Knights of Columbus roots and Jesuit superiors) and authority (what authority, and who gave it?) to accomplish this critical mission (the act of sending, or state of being sent with certain powers, especially to propagate religion;  a series of special religious services)”.

Tom ridge continues to refuse to testify before Congress about his newly appointed position (it's a crime to give false testimony before Congress).  George Bush is defending Ridges refusal to testify by telling Congress Ridge "has no authority, he is only working for me":  yet in his speech, appointing Ridge as head of Homeland SSecurity, Bush says Ridge has the "authority to accomplish this critical mission".

In a speech, at Georgetown University, to a congregation of Jesuit students, Senator Joseph Lieberman stated:  “I admire the fact that so many of you (Jesuits) are more eager than ever to channel your talents and energy into constructive public service.  I hope that government will help make it easier for you to do just that.”    

If the two World Trade Center Towers (and adjoining buildings) and Pentagon disasters do not bring their desired results in Congress (Homeland SSecurity passage), one can only speculate as to what they will do next :  one thing you can rest assured of :  if you work in a building where there are any federal agency offices, and you suddenly notice these offices are empty (like vacated over night), or you aren't seeing any federal employees showing up for work :  you better run for the nearest exit !!!

A cruel sham is being perpetrated on the American public and especially on the families of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon. One of the expectations of the public is that the Commission established to investigate the attacks will find out what the government (in particular intelligence agencies) knew prior to the attacks. However, both the restrictions on the Commission and the composition of its members are designed to prevent just that.

The Commission was established by the 2003 Intelligence Authorization Act (H.R. 4628) to (1) conduct an investigation, (2) identify, review and evaluate lessons learned, and (3) issue a report to the President and Congress containing findings, conclusions and recommendations. While the first part of Section 604 of the Act defining the Commission's functions appears to give it a broad mandate of areas for investigation (including intelligence agencies), a following provision limits its inquiry into the 'intelligence community' to areas not covered by the 'Joint Inquiry' of Congressional Intelligence Committees unless there is new information not reviewed by the congressional investigation.

Commission members and staff will be required to have appropriate security clearances before they are given access to classified information. This probably means that any final report to the public will be 'sanitized' of classified information, as is the report of the congressional 'Joint Inquiry.' In other words, any meaningful information the Commission might find (despite the restrictions on it) will not be made public. Committee staff members are considered government employees and are subject to severe penalties for leaking classified information.

Some public hearings may be held but obviously will not deal with classified information. Each agency furnishing information to the Commission establishes its own classifications. The Commission can issue subpoenas for information or compelling testimony but only if at least six of the ten members approve or both the chairman and vice chairman approve.

If a subpoena is ignored, a U.S. District Court can issue an order to comply and if still ignored, cite the person or persons for contempt. Alternatively, by majority vote the commission can issue a non-binding request to a U.S. Attorney to bring the matter before a grand jury. U.S. Attorneys report to the Attorney General, or a subordinate, in the Department of Justice. The Commission is required to issue its final report eighteen months after the authorizing legislation went into effect.

If the limited scope of the commission is not enough, the membership of the commission virtually guarantees that nothing meaningful will emerge. In this writers opinion there are three general categories of persons who should have been excluded from the commission. The first is anyone who is a member of an organization that advocates abdicating U.S. sovereignty in favor of governance by a regional or world body. The premier organization pushing that concept for the last eight decades is the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Members of the CFR hold a significant number of high-level government positions. A second category would be anyone who has had involvement with the 'intelligence community.' This would include members of congress who have been on intelligence committees as well as some private sector members of advisory boards. The rationale is that those persons likely have either been co-opted or have become inured to accepting assertions of intelligence agencies at face value.

The third criterion, which would mostly apply to government officials and members of congress, is anyone who participated in a cover-up of illegal activity related to organizations or groups involved in terrorism or the related activities of drug distribution and money laundering.

COMMISSION MEMBERS


Thomas Kean

Then let's begin with the chairman of the commission Thomas Kean, former New Jersey Governor and President of Drew University. When Kean was appointed to replace severely conflicted Henry Kissinger, he asserted his only constituency was the students at Drew.

Well, it turns out that is not exactly true. Kean sits on the Board of Directors of Amerada Hess, one of the world's leading independent oil and gas companies. The company is coupled with Delta Oil, a Saudi Arabia company in a joint venture called Delta-Hess. Delta-Hess in turn is a partner in Azerbaijan with a consortium developing Caspian Sea oil resources.

Delta Oil is owned by the two Saudi families of Khalid bin Mahfouz and Mohammed Hussein al Amoudi. Both are alleged to be major financial backers of Osama bin Laden and have been named in a lawsuit by families and survivors of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Bin Mahfouz is Osama's brother-in-law. His sister married bin Laden.

Delta-Hess owns 20% of the Azerbaijan consortium. SOCOL, the state owned Oil Company has 50% and Frontera owns the remaining 30%. Frontera is headed by Bill White who was Deputy Secretary of Energy in the first Clinton administration and the architect of Azerbaijans first Caspian Sea offshore gas and oil consortium. Familiar names among its Board of Directors and advisors include Lloyd Bentsen, former Senator and Treasury Secretary and John Deutch, former Director of the CIA.

Kean also is co-chairman of Homeland Security Project, which had significant input into the drafting of the Office of Homeland Security legislation. The long-time member of the CFR also forgot to mention his role as general partner in Quad Ventures LLC. Quad is a limited partnership operating in the $815 billion education industry whose partners include; Citigroup, J.P. Morgan Chase, Merrill Lynch Community Development, Wells Fargo bank and insurance giants Prudential Financial and Wachovia. Top officials in most of those companies are also CFR members. Both Citigroup and Morgan Chase are deeply involved in the Enron scandal. Citigroup received a slap on the wrist when found to have laundered hundreds of millions of dollars in drug money which some suspect helped fund terrorism.


Lee Hamilton

Commission vice chairman and former congressman Lee Hamilton was appointed to replace former senate majority leader George Mitchell (CFR), who like Kissinger declined to disclose potential conflicts of interest and resigned. Hamilton, a CFR member since at least 1988, was chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the House Select Intelligence Committee.

In 1987, House Speaker Jim Wright (who later resigned in disgrace) appointed Hamilton to chair a committee investigating the Iran/Contra affair. When a question was raised about CIA/Contra drug smuggling, the response was release by Hamilton of a cursory review that concluded there was no truth to the charges. The CIA recently released a report (that received almost no publicity) admitting the drug connection.

Jamie Gorelick

Considered one of the fifty most powerful women in the country, CFR member Jamie Gorelick is currently vice-chair of the giant mortgage lender and insurer Fannie Mae. From March 1994 until she joined Fannie Mae in May 1997 she was Deputy Attorney General, the number two spot in Janet Renos Department of Justice.

In May 1995, the Intelligence Community Law Enforcement Policy Board was established to meet quarterly and discuss mutual concerns of the Attorney General and Director of Central Intelligence. The board was co-chaired by Gorelick and DCI George Tenet. Other members included all of the law enforcement agencies, the Assistant Secretary of State for Intelligence and Research and the Defense Department General Counsel.

This is the same time frame (spring of 1995) in which the Philippine government apprised the FBI, CIA and State Department of Project Bojinka an Islamic terrorist plot which included hijacking commercial airlines planes and flying them into the Pentagon, World Trade Center towers and, several other buildings. The BCCI scandal involved a number of powerful individuals. Clark Clifford and Robert Altman were the top two officers in First American, the new name given Financial General Bankshares when it was taken over by BCCI (known as the Bank of Crooks and Criminals International in the corridors of Washington) with the help of the Jackson Stephens/Lippo Worthen Bank and the Rose Law Firm.

First American is said to have been using the notorious PROMIS software. When BCCI and First American were exposed, the legal defense team for Clifford and Altman attracted a bevy of well-known names including Robert Fiske (later the first 'independent counsel' investigating Whitewater and Vince Foster's 'suicide'), Robert Bennett (later attorney for Bill Clinton), and Jamie Gorelick.

In a somewhat related case in 1978, Financial General Bankshares sued BCCI, two Jackson Stephens' companies (one was Systematics) and a number of individuals. Two of the attorneys representing Systematics in the controversy over PROMIS software were Webster Hubbell and Hillary Rodham.

In 1998, while at Fannie Mae, Gorelick served on Clintons Central Intelligence National Security Advisory Panel as well as the President's Review of Intelligence.

Richard Ben-Veniste

Ben-Veniste is a high-visibility Washington attorney and Democrat power broker. He was Democrat counsel to the Senate Whitewater investigation where he blocked inquiries about Webster Hubbell's hiring by the Lippo group and others administered by Truman Arnold.

According to investigative journalist Daniel Hopsicker, Ben-Veniste then turned around and defended Arnold (the man he was supposed to be investigating) before Ken Starr's Whitewater grand jury, for which he was roundly criticized. Hopsicker also reveals that Arnold had furnished a $2 million airplane to his friend Wally Hilliard for $1. Hilliard, Hopsicker says, owned the Flight school in Venice, Florida where four of the Islamic terrorist pilots were trained that flew the suicide missions on 9/11.

Another of Ben-Venistes clients was Barry Seal, the drug running CIA asset of Iran/Contra and Mena, Arkansas notoriety. In fact, Hopsicker relates Ben-Veniste told the Wall Street Journal, "I did my part by launching him (Seal) into the arms of Vice President Bush who embraced him as an undercover operative."


Fred Fielding

Fielding is another one who has been around the centers of power for a while on the Republican side. In the Nixon administration he was a deputy counsel working under John Dean. In the Watergate scandal he helped his boss (Dean) handle Howard Hunt's safe full of documents. They wore rubber gloves so as not to leave fingerprints. Fielding was not one of the twenty or so Nixon associates (including John Dean) that went to jail over their involvement. Later Fielding served as White House Counsel to President Reagan. More recently he was at least partly responsible for getting George W. Bush's political mentor Karl Rove in hot water over failure to divest his stock in Intel Corporation valued at over $100,000.

Fielding advised Rove, who was planning to divest all of his stock, to hold onto it until a 'government certificate of divestiture' could be obtained. The certificate would have allowed deferral of capital gains taxes on stock sold.

While he still held the stock, Rove met with Intel executives and Vice President Chaney at which a proposed merger with a Dutch company was discussed. This was a breech of administration ethics rules.

Fielding served on the Bush transition team in early 2001. According to Clay Johnson, Director of Presidential Personnel and Deputy Chief of Staff, the Vice President asked Fred Fielding, who had been President Reagan's counsel, to come in and he volunteered to--as soon as we had a Cabinet Secretary-to-be, he would sit down with that person and they'd have a nice little chat for an hour or two. And then Fred would tell us whether he was confident that there were no clearance problems or not. If there was something that he thought might be problematic, he would explore it further, and maybe they had to go get some information, whatever. Johnson said the process now takes sixty days.

Jim Thompson

Jim Thompson was the longest serving governor in Illinois history completing four terms in office leaving in 1991. He is currently chairman of the large Chicago-based law firm Winston and Strawn. While he was governor, sensational charges were leveled against him and the law firm by Chicago author and investigator Sherman Skolnick.

Skolnick claimed that the First National Bank of Chicago had loaned (Communist) China billions of dollars to be repaid in gold. When China defaulted on the gold payments, according to Skolnick, the CIA and bank arranged for massive amounts of high purity heroin to be smuggled into the U.S. in lieu of the gold payments. Skolnick alleged shipments came in through Joliet, just south of Chicago, and were supervised by Thompson and the Winston and Strawn law firm. As with most claims of CIA involvement in illegal drugs, nothing came of the allegations.

Thompson got caught in the middle of a messy political battle between outgoing Governor George Ryan and Attorney General Jim Ryan, both Republicans. Ryan was running against Democrat Rod Blagojevich, the victor and incoming governor. At the same time AG Ryan was suing Governor George Ryan over the pardoning of death row inmates.

George Ryan hired former governor Jim Thompson to defend against the lawsuit. Blagojevich had railed in his campaign against the 26 years of Republican corruption and mismanagement. That included 12 of the years when Thompson was governor. To the astonishment of practically everyone, Blagojevich appointed Thompson to lead his transition team.

John Lehman

John Lehman is an investment banker who has served in a number of government positions including as Secretary of the Navy from 1981 to 1987 under President Reagan. His first government job was as special counsel and senior staff member to Henry Kissinger on the National Security Council in the Nixon administration. Lehman currently serves on several boards of directors including those of Ball Corporation, as chairman of OAO Technology Solutions, Inc. and his own J.F. Lehman & Company. He is a former chairman of Sperry Marine and investment banker with Paine Webber. Lehman served 25 years as a naval aviator in the selected reserves.

Slade Gorton

Slade Gorton is a former senator from the State of Washington. After he lost his reelection bid in 2000, he joined the Seattle Law firm of Preston, Gates & Ellis, which specializes in environmental issues. If jury selection rules were being used, Gorton would probably be dismissed from consideration for the commission for cause. Two days after the 9/11 attacks he told a public-television audience there was nothing government intelligence officials could have done to thwart the attack, according to the Seattle Times. The Times quotes Gorton as saying, I doubt we can expect to get too much inside information no matter what we do. Gorton served two years on the Senate Intelligence Committee. He says that experience and his personal friendship with Trent Lott were responsible for his appointment by Lott.


Tim Roemer

Tim Roemer is a moderate Democrat congressman (at least compared to the Democrat leadership) who is retiring from Congress at the end of this year. He was one of the prime movers in the House championing creation of the Independent Commission. He is credited with bringing the organization representing survivors and families of victims of the 9/11 attacks into the mix of support for the commission. Roemer is a member of the House Intelligence Committee.


Max Cleland

Max Cleland is a one-term Senator from Georgia who lost his reelection bid this year in a close contest. He is a triple amputee from wounds received in Vietnam. At the age of 28, Cleland was the youngest person and first Vietnam veteran elected to the Georgia State Senate. In 1977, he became the youngest ever head of the Veterans' Administration when appointed by President Jimmy Carter. In 1982 Cleland became the youngest person elected as Georgia Secretary of State. He resigned that position in 1996 to run for the seat being vacated by retiring U.S. Senator Sam Nunn. He was sworn in as a U.S. Senator in 1997. Barring (intentional) leaks, we will have to wait another 17 months to see what the product of the commission will be. By that time the publics attention will undoubtedly be focused on other things.

Put this one up on the shelf of shame, right next to Henry Kissinger's, or the peace prize they gave to Kofi Annan and the entire UN in 2001, sandwiched between the UN's okay for the bombing of Serbia, the killing of untold numbers of Iraqis, many of them babies and children in the years of sanctions, and its greenlight for the bombing of Baghdad in 2003. In 1998 the Nobel crowd gave the prize to Medecins Sans Frontieres, whose co-founder Bernard Kouchner is now France's foreign secretary urging the bombing of Iran. Like Gore, Kouchner was a rabid advocate of the dismemberment of the former Yugoslavia and onslaughts on Serbia.

The UN often has an inside track on the "Peace" prize. The UN Peace-Keeping Forces got it in 1988. In 1986 another enthusiast for attacking Iraq and Iran, Elie Wiesel, carried off the trophy. Aside from Kissinger, probably the biggest killer of all to have got the peace prize was Norman Borlaug, whose "green revolution" wheat strains led to the death of peasants by the million.

When Gore goes to get the prize he shares with the pr hucksters and falsifiers at the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Gore should be forced to march through a gauntlet of widows and orphans, Serbs, Iraqis, Palestinians, Colombians, and other victims of the Clinton era.

Back in Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign Gore was told to earn his keep with constant pummeling of George Bush Sr for having been soft on Saddam. Gore duly criss-crossed the country yoking Saddam and Bush in fervid denunciation, his press aides passing out speeches flatteringly footnoted with references to the work of the journalists covering his campaign. Gore charged that Bush had given Saddam "one of those milquetoast routines George Bush is so famous for". "The cover-up of Bush's arming of Saddam was", Gore shouted, "bigger than Watergate ever was." Right before the 2000 election Gore called for expansion of the no-fly zones in Iraq and said that any Iraqi plane venturing into such zones should be shot down.

In early January, 1993, Thomas Friedman interviewed president elect Clinton and asked about Saddam. Clinton amiably responded, "I always tell everybody, I'm a Baptist. I believe in deathbed conversions. If he wants a different relationship with the US and UN, all he has to do is change his behavior." This elicited cries of outrage from the national security establishment, and its prime respresentative,vice president-elect Gore, who announced that there could never be normal relations with Iraq so long as Saddam remained in power. He reiterated the call for a coup, if not by the Iraqi military then by the CIA (which in point of fact had been in receipt of a 'presidential finding' from Bush, three months after the guns of the Gulf War fell silent, authorizing it 'to create conditions for the removal of Saddam Hussein from power').

Vice president Al Gore was then given authority in the Clinton Administration for Iraq policy. On April 14, 1993, Bush went to Kuwait, whose regime duly arrested 17 people charged with plotting to kill Bush with a bomb placed in a Toyota Landcruiser.

Again the national security establishment mustered in support of a plan to hold Saddam accountable and bombard Baghdad, a plan hotly advocated by Gore and his national security advisor, Leon Feurth. The two individuals most reluctant to endorse this plan were Bill Clinton and George Bush Sr. "Do we have to take this action?" Clinton muttered to his national security team as the cruise missiles on two carriers in the Persian Gulf were being programmed.

Eight of the 23 missiles hit the residential Mansour suburb of Baghdad, one of them killing Leila al-Attar, a prominent Iraqi artist. According to Clinton's pollster Stan Greenberg, the bombing of Baghdad caused an uptick of 11 points in Clinton's popularity, a lesson Clinton and Gore did not forget. Years later, in the 2000 campaign, Gore out-hawked George Bush Jr on the subject of finishing the job in Iraq.

On June 29, 2000, Gore was in Chicago to talk about "energy policy incentives for cities". Danny Muller of Voices in the Wilderness went to Navy Pier, where the event was being held. Gore was at the podium amid wild ovations. Muller remembers the scene: "I raised my voice and asked 'Mr. Gore, why should anyone vote for an administration that kills 5,000 innocent children a month through sanctions in Iraq?' Gore stopped. And he laughed. He actually laughed. He said he would discuss this later in the day. I responded by saying that every ten minutes a child dies in Iraq due to sanctions and we do not have the time to wait."

Muller was still protesting as Gore's security goons hauled him off.

The specific reason why this man of blood shares the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with the IPCC is for their joint agitprop on the supposed threat of anthropogenic global warming. Bogus science topped off with toxic alarmism. It's as ridiculous as as if Goebbels got the Nobel Peace Prize in 1938, sharing it with the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for his work in publicizing the threat to race purity posed by Jews, Slavs and gypsies. (The peace prize actually went that year to the Nansen Committee for Refugees. Gore certainly played his part in creating Iraq's current 4 million refugees, among the greatest displacements of the past hundred years.)

The notorious "man-made" greenhouse gasses comprise about .26 per cent of the total greenhouse gas component of the earth's atmosphere and the influence of this component remains entirely unproven, as I have pointed out on this site many times,and will be doing so again in reflections that will be published early next year in my forthcoming book, A Short History of Fear. Gore's contribution to the debate has been an appalling mishmash of cooked statistics, demagoguery about "scientific consensus" and New Age hocus pocus about spiritual renewal. Anyone who has studied the antics of his co-winner of the peace prize, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, will know that the IPCC's prime role every three years has been to ignore the work--some of it respectable scientific research--of its expert panels and issue entirely mendacious and to issue alarmist press releases designed to win headlines in the New York Times.

Of course Al Gore has been a shil for nuclear power ever since he came of age as a political harlot for the Oakridge nuclear laboratory in his home state of Tennessee. The practical beneficiary of the baseless hysteria over "anthropogenic global warming" is the nuclear power industry. This very fall, as Peter Montague describes at length in our current CounterPunch newsletter, this industry is reaping the fruits of Al Gore's campaigning. Congress has finally knocked aside the regulatory licensing processes that have somewhat protected the public across recent decades. The starting gun has sounded, and just about the moment Gore and his co-conspirators at the IPCC collect their prizes, the bulldozers will be breaking ground for the new nuclear plants soon to spring like Amanita phalloides--just as deadly--across the American landscape.

Toothless in Babylon

The way things are headed, in two or three months we'll have 95 percent of the American people wanting a pullout from the war in Iraq and 95 percent of Congress obediently voting funds to keep the troops there. At the start of October, only 27 percent of Americans wanted Congress to greenlight the $190 billion Bush has requested to go on fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Washington Post summed up its latest poll, conducted with ABC TV, thus: "Most Americans do not believe Congress has gone far enough in opposing the war."

Here we are in the gray dawn of the twenty-first century, but only a handful of senators and reps dare stand up to be counted on matters of war and peace. The Kyl-Lieberman bill recommending that Iran's Revolutionary Guards be placed on the US government's blacklist as a "terrorist organization" was clearly hatched as a way for Bush to attack Iran without seeking Congressional approval. It cantered through the Senate with only twenty-five opposing. The House approved a similar measure with only sixteen no's, jusy 12 of them Democrats. Notoriously, Hillary Clinton voted for Kyl-Lieberman, then amid a hail of criticism, tried to fix up a fudge vote for the record, sigining on to an amended version drafted by Senator James Webb.

The day before the Senate vote, in the Democratic debate at Dartmouth College candidates Clinton, Obama and Edwards all refused to commit to having all US troops out of Iraq by the end of their first White House term-December 2013. The shortest timeline for withdrawal is offered in Senator Russell Feingold's bill, which requires troops to be out of Iraq by June 30, 2008. That bill has only twelve Senate co-sponsors, Clinton and Obama conspicuous by their absence.

The Petraeus hearings showed us the feeble state of the anti-war forces on the Hill. A few senators grandstanding for their one-liners to be flashed up on CNN doesn't add up to anything more than popgun combat. No one laid a glove on Petraeus, and that failure is very significant. Winslow Wheeler worked on the Hill for thirty-one years as a staffer for various senators from both sides of the aisle, also for the GAO. These days he's the director of the Straus Military Reform Project at the Center for Defense Information in Washington. As CounterPunchers well know, his regular bulletins on defense matters, particularly military budgets and appropriations, are always knowledgeable and succinct. He really knows how the system works.

In the wake of Petraeus's easy victories in both the Senate and House hearings, Wheeler looked back at the 1972 hearings of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, taking testimony from Secretary of State William Rogers on the war in Vietnam. The committee's chairman, William Fulbright, took Rogers apart, exposing time after time the Secretary's evasions and lies. Fulbright, Wheeler recalled, counterpunch.org/wheeler10032007.html.

"knew all the facts, uncovered by an assiduous professional staff that discovered a whole lot more than what the Defense and State departments wanted them to know." As the bruised Rogers and his entourage filed out, Wheeler heard one of the Secretary's staff hiss angrily to an underling, "Find out how that son of a bitch found all that out."

Petraeus endured no such relentless interrogation. There were no angry hisses, only smiles at the conclusion of his claims for the success thus far of his Surge. Yet the facts that the senators and representatives could and should have thrown at him were all available, many of them supplied to the relevant Congressional staffers by Wheeler's organization in the form of body counts, information from the United Nations and other sources, plus polling data from the people best qualified to assess whether their security had been enhanced by the Surge-namely, Iraqis.

But the senators and reps didn't use the material as Fulbright would have done. Beyond a few brief interrogatory flurries, they mostly stuck to their scripted speeches. As Wheeler concludes,

All that was politicking, not oversight. Oversightmeans finding out exactly what the executive branch is doing and what is going on in the world. Only that, not posturing, provides a sound foundation for competent legislation and the political coalitions needed to enact it. Put simply, if you do not know with some precision what the problem is, you are not going to solve it. And if you don't have the data, mere rhetoric will not always save you, especially when you fail to refute the opposing case.

How good is the staff work on the Hill these days? Ideally, in the battles that matter, it should be a blend of savage investigative zeal and experience in what stones to turn over and where to dig out the paydirt. How many battle-scarred oldtimers are there, like Wheeler or Jake Lewis, who remember how it was done? How many eager reporters are there for them to leak to? The Clinton era did dreadful damage to conscientious and effective oversight. The Democrats were out of power on the Hill for a decade, until 2007. I know of one 50-year-old who recently and successfully applied for a good staff job on an important committee who thinks he got the job partly because there weren't that many applicants.

And even if you have a terrific staff rustling up devastating data, you still need a senator or rep with the wits and moxy to turn the material into an effective interrogation. These days you can sit and watch C-SPAN all year long and rarely see anything beyond camera-preening by the likes of Chuck Schumer. Arlen Specter can take out the razor when he wants to. So can Feingold. So can a can few of the Republican ex-prosecutors. Not many others. You can chart Ted Kennedy's decline in effectiveness by the decline in the quality of his staff. Dig out a clip of Jack Brooks of Texas Roasting someone in the witness chair, to see how it used to be done. The place just isn't what it used to be.
