THE FATIMA FARCE

Growing up as a Roman Catholic, it is a "must" to watch "Our Lady Of Fatima" every chance you get. I think we believed we would get special grace for sitting through it year after year. Mary is such a major focus for so many Catholics since Rome has taught her children "no Mary, no Jesus, know Mary, know Jesus". Jesus may very well be the only mediator between God and man...but Mary, according to Rome, is our mediatrix between Jesus and man. FARCE #1. As we shall see later in this article, the Scriptures show us a very different Mary than the one portrayed by Roman Catholicism. The Bible explicity denies that we need anyone to mediate between Jesus and ourselves. He promised He would dwell in us and never leave us! This totally contradicts what I was taught as a child growing up Catholic.

Let's look at an ad from the Knights of Columbus about Mary. The following exerpt is from the "Supreme Council Knights of Columbus Religious Information Bureau". The title of it is "Yes...Miracles Happened At Fatima!"

"You may not agree with the Catholic belief in miracles. Perhpas you don't believe in miracles at all...and especially not in miracles attributed to the prayer of the Blessed Virgin. But if God does look with special favor upon Mary...and does wonderous things at her request...is it not of vast importance to you to find out? Is it not worth the few minutes required to examine the evidence? What, for example, did God's angel mean when he said: 'Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women ...'? Was she to be 'full of grace' only temporarily -- and 'blessed amongst women' only during her life on earth? This is not reasonable in view of Mary's unique role as the earthly mother of the Son of God. Nor can we discard and forget Mary if we believe the Holy Scripture, for there we find Mary's words (Luke 1:48); '...henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.' Where, excepting among Catholics, does anyone honor Mary as did God Himself? But, you may insist, 'show me a miracle! And prove that the Blessed Virgin had anything to do with it.' We might, of course, recall that Christ's mother appeared to Bernadene at Lourdes in France, and that scientifically-authenticated cures have been occurring ever since. Or we might cite similar apparitions to the three children at Fatima, Portugal, and the subsequent awesome spectacle of the sun spinning and dancing on its axis and then seeming to plunge toward the earth...a spectacle witnessed by 70,000 persons. And we could mention Mary's prophecies concerning conditions under which Russia would be converted. But Catholics don't require earth-shaking supernatural demonstrations to attest Mary's love, nor to prove her influence at the throne of God. It's the little 'miracles' that take place in their daily lives when, in faith and trust, they pray : 'Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee...'

First of all, obviously it wasn't of "vast importance" (the worshipping of Mary) since God has left it totally out of the Bible!!! Secondly, we must address the intentional misquoting of "full of grace". Let's read Luke 1:28 as they suggest: "AND THE ANGEL CAME IN UNTO HER, AND SAID, HAIL, THOU THAT ART HIGHLY FAVORED..." That "highly favored" there is the same word used to describe all saints, which is anyone who trusts in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is from the Greek word "charltoo" which does not imply special favor, but rather 'to give grace to'. The ONLY one FULL OF GRACE is Jesus Christ. John 1:14 tells us "AND THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US, (AND WE BEHELD HIS GLORY, THE GLORY AS OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN OF THE FATHER,) FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH This is a common error or Roman Catholicism....they are constantly attributing characteristics of God to Mary, to Popes, to Priests, to "saints". They constantly what to strip God of His titles and place them upon whom they choose. Take the sinlessness of Christ Jesus for example....Roman Catholicism states that Mary, too, is sinless. Even though the word of God clearly states that Christ Jesus alone was free from sin. It is interesting to note that no sooner had Pope Pius IX proclaimed that Roman Catholics MUST believe that Mary was free from the original stain, than the "Virgin" herself began those "wonderful manifestations" at Lourdes. It was then that those vast and magnificant temples to the "Immaculate Mother of God" were built, in which "miracles" are performed daily through the prayer of the "Mother of God". The Roman Catholic version of Mary is nothing more than the worshipping of Isis, Astarte, etc. One title given to this Mary at Guadalupe is "Mystical Rose". Interestingly enough, the title Mystical Rose is also given to the corn goddess in Guadalupe wherewith honor is given to this corn goddess through songs such as "Ave Maria". They know that the Roman Catholic Mary is none other than their goddess, only by another name. Rome readily admits that Mary is known across the world by thousands of names. It is also interesting to note, that in Anton Lavey's Satanic Bible, the very last page has but one name in the middle of the blank page....the name? MYSTICAL ROSE.

O.K. So far we see that God did not say He favored Mary above all. Luke shows us clearly that Mary was given grace not "full of grace" as Rome implies since Jesus Christ is the ONLY ONE FULL OF GRACE!! And as far as "blessed art thou among women"....yes....to carry in her womb the flesh of God Himself, I'd call that blessed. But they place way too much emphasis on Mary and not the fact that Jesus was the blessing...not future worship to Mary as the blessing. Mary was a Jewish woman who knew it was forbidden by God to worship anyone BUT God!! The Mary of the Bible would not have accepted such praise. She was a HUMBLE woman. Not like Rome's Mary making demands upon man and upon God. Commanding temples be dedicated to her. Demanding prayers be said to her nonstop. At Fatima, Mary tells the children that only she can hold back Jesus. As if she is mama ruling the heavens telling her little Son what to do and what not to do! What an abominable picture they portray!! Deuteronomy 32:39 tells us "SEE NOW THAT I, EVEN I, AM HE, AND THERE IS NO GOD WITH ME: I KILL, AND I MAKE ALIVE; I WOUND, AND I HEAL: NEITHER IS THERE ANY THAT CAN DELIVER OUT OF MY HAND." I guarantee you, Jesus isn't asking Mary's permission to do anything! Rome makes the King of Kings and Lord of Lords nothing more than a mama's boy who is totally dependent upon his mommy. How blasphemous!!!

Have miracles happened? Who cares??? The first question should not be..."have they happened?" but rather "by what power?". In the book of Revelation, chapter 13 we are given a picture of things to come, the end times if you will. It speaks of the antichrist to come and of his false prophet. "AND I BEHELD ANOTHER BEAST COMING UP OUT OF THE EARTH; AND HE HAD TWO HORNS LIKE A LAMB, AND HE SPAKE AS A DRAGON. AND HE EXERCISETH ALL THE POWER OF THE FIRST BEAST BEFORE HIM, AND CAUSETH THE EARTH AND THEM WHICH DWELL THEREIN TO WORSHIP THE FIRST BEAST, WHOSE DEADLY WOUND WAS HEALED. AND HE DOETH GREAT WONDERS, SO THAT HE MAKETH FIRE COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN ON THE EARTH IN THE SIGHT OF MEN. AND DECEIVETH THEM THAT DWELL ON THE EARTH BY THE MEANS OF THOSE MIRACLES WHICH HE HAD POWER TO DO IN THE SIGHT OF THE BEAST:..." (verses 11-13) As you can clearly see, just because something "wondrous" happens....it doesn't mean it is from God. The false prophet comes with lying signs and wonders! We are warned in Matthew 12:39 "...AN EVIL AND ADULTEROUS GENERATION SEEKETH AFTER A SIGN..."This is the very reason the Lord gave us His precious word. We must study the Scriptures to "learn to discern". We must know what is of God and what isn't. Just because something looks good, doesn't necessarily mean it is.

I will leave you with the Scriptural picture of Mary and you compare it with the Romish goddess they lovingly call Mary.

"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: when as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost." (Matthew1:18; also Luke 2:1-16).

"And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him." (Luke 2:33)

And when they saw him (in the Temple), they were amazed; and his mother said unto him, 'Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? Behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing!" (Luke 2:48)

"And he said unto them, 'How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?' And they understood not the saying which he spoke unto them. And he went down with them, and came into Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart" (Luke 2:44).

"Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother...When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her into his own home" (John 19:25-47).

"And when they [the Apostles] were come in, they went up into an upper room...There all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren" (Acts 1:13-14).

In none of these Scripture passages is there the slightest indication of the "sinlessness" of Mary. Nor of the "Assumption. Nor of Mary ever being called the "Mother of God". Mary is portrayed as being rebuked by Jesus (John 2:4) and not sure of her own role (Luke 2:50). Christians do not accept the Roman Catholic version of Mary, but we do, however, accept her beautiful song in Luke 1:46-55:

"MY SOUL DOTH MAGNIFY THE LORD. AND MY SPIRIT HATH REJOICED IN GOD MY SAVIOR. FOR HE HATH REGARDED THE LOW ESTATE OF HIS HANDMAIDEN: FOR BEHOLD, FROM HENCEFORTH ALL GENERATIONS SHALL CALL ME BLESSED. FOR HE THAT IS MIGHTY HATH DONE TO ME GREAT THINGS; AND HOLY IS HIS NAME. AND HIS MERCY IS ON THEM THAT FEAR HIM, FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION. HE HATH SHOWED STRENGTH WITH HIS ARM: HE HATH SCATTERED THE PROUD IN THE IMAGINATION OF THEIR HEARTS. HE HATH PUT DOWN THE MIGHTY FROM THEIR SEATS AND EXALTED THEM OF LOW DEGREE. HE HATH FILLED THE HUNGRY WITH GOOD THINGS AND THE RICH HE HATH SENT EMPTY AWAY. HE HATH HOLPEN HIS SERVANT ISRAEL, IN REMEMBRANCE OF HIS MERCY: AS HE SPOKE TO OUR FATHERS, TO ABRAHAM, AND TO HIS SEED FOR EVER."

If you would like further information on the true origin of Roman Catholicism's Mary, we would be happy to help. If you would like to check out Jeremiah 44, you will see how worshipping a "queen of heaven" is not a new abomination, but rather an old apostasy.
