Introduction

Freemasonry, it is said, is a secret society. Some Freemasons (also known simply as masons) like to refer to themselves not as a "secret society" but a rather a "society with secrets". Many people have asked how we (students of the mysteries) can possibly know what Freemasonry teaches and where it originated if it is a "secret". This is a good question. However, a great deal of Freemasonry's "secrets" are not all that secret if a person knows where to look. Very reliable information concerning all points discussed at leavingbabylon.com (LBC) is accessible to any who will make a concerted effort to study the matter.

The so-called secrets of Masonry constitute only a portion of the total activity of the order. The general ideals of Masonry and the history and philosophy of the order have been developed by numerous Masonic and non-Masonic writers in books designed for the general public as well as for Masons. Of course, even Masonic writers do not always agree fully with one another about these matters, but that is true of any field of research. Look at how many arguments there are among Christians regarding what the doctrines of Christianity are. On the whole the agreement among them is striking. Masonic libraries containing books by Masons of high degree and excellent standing are open to the public. One of these is the Scottish Rite Library of Chicago. Masonic literature may be purchased from the Macoy Publishing and Masonic Supply Company of New York City.

At LBC, I prefer to put more weight on things said by high ranking Freemasons themselves than those said by others who have things against Freemasonry. A great deal of quotes from this page will be directly from high ranking Freemasons. In other words, I prefer to let their own words be their judge.

A Brief History

The traditional history of Freemasonry claims that Medieval stonemasons, not unlike other tradesmen, sought to protect their secrets of the trade through the formation of guilds and secret societies. This history is rather over simplistic and the true history and origins of Freemasonry take much longer to explain. However, I will introduce the more common explanation to start.

Masons were frequently employed together in large groups and, as building projects tend not to last indefinitely, often lived itinerate and independent lives. Members of the craft used secret signs, handshakes, etc. to identify themselves when traveling from one area to another -- and solemn oaths were taken by entering members to preserve secrecy.

Over time, the stonemasons (Freemason) society became a social club of sorts where drinking, feasting, conversation, gaming and ceremonies that were as important as any trade secret. Freemasons attracted the attention of many people in the early eighteenth century and more and members joined who had no association with stonemasonry of old. Freemasonry had become a "gentleman's club".

According some researches of Freemasonry, the first Grand Lodge of Freemasonry was founded in England in 1717 - twenty-three years after the founding of the Bank of England which had a secret court of directors. The creation of this lodge was seen as a milestone in the transformation of what was a trade guild into a secret society. The Rothschild family became allied with Freemasonry in the late 1700's. By co-operating with secret societies they were able to expand their banking operations from Germany, networking the political contacts of Freemasonry, which was already well established throughout the continent. Freemasonry, on the other hand, needed money to finance its efforts to build a New World Order, and the Rothschilds would be able to provide such funds.

The formation of the Grand Lodge in London in 1717 (presided-over by elected "Grand Masters") laid the foundation for English Freemasonry. There were three degrees of initiation: Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft and Master Mason, each with its own authority, ceremony and revealed secrets. "Scottish Masonry", which thrived in quasi-independent lodges all over Europe, added many additional degrees.

Masonry contained, as it still does today, elaborate initiation ceremonies and the taking of secret oaths to uphold the secrets of the fraternity. In time, perhaps because of the Masonic secrecy that threatened the practice of Catholic confession to priests, and since Masons tolerated membership by people of different religions, all Masons were ex-communicated by the Pope in 1738.

Evidence at LBC will show that Freemasonry is no simple social club. Proof will be given that Freemasonry openly practices the observance of the pagan Mystery Religions and is obsessed with ancient symbols of the sun god. Many groups have been exposing Freemasons as a secret sect of devil worshipers bent on the idea of controlling the world. Others however find such a notion absurd.

Disbelief remains as the single biggest factor working in Freemasonry's favor. "Intelligent" people find it incomprehensible that there could be individuals so evil as to actually try to take control of the world on behalf of Lucifer. However, in Freemasonry everything has a double-meaning. LBC will do everything it can to educate you on the true nature and plans of modern Freemasonry.

So, What is Freemasonry?

Briefly, Freemasonry is an association of men devoted to the purpose of bettering themselves as gentlemen and bettering the community they live in. Many of the founding Fathers of America were Freemasons and about 14 United States Presidents have been admitted Freemasons despite the fact that the group usually keeps its membership secret. Many books and website will attest to the fact that our nation owes a great deal to the Freemasons who designed, dedicated, and built our capital city. So why does Freemasonry warrant top spot in the American Mysteries?

Freemasonry and Conspiracy Theories

There is no doubt that Freemasonry is at the heart of a plethora of conspiracy theories ranging from the assassination of John F. Kenedy to out and out total control of the government and secret worship of Lucifer. Others find the constant talk of Freemasonry to be a bit absurd and that it could not possibly be at the heart of half of the things that are claimed for it. However, a late American Professor Revilo P. Oliver, a confirmed atheist, was forced to concede on this matter:

"A theory that a conspiracy has been working consciously for many centuries is not very plausible unless one attributes to them a religious unity. That is tantamount to regarding them as Satanists engaged in the worship and service of supernatural evil. The directors of the conspiracy must see or otherwise directly perceive manifestations which convince them of the existence and power of Lucifer. And since subtle conspirators must be very shrewd men, not likely to be deceived by auto-suggestion, hypnosis, or drugs, we should have to conclude that they probably are in contact with a force of pure evil." (Prof. Revilo P. Oliver, Conspiracy or Degeneracy?, USA)

I believe that conclusion is accurate and true and as this web site grows you will see exactly why.

A Benevolent Society?

"They claim about 300 Million Dollars a year to hospitals and other institutions, which is good but not that much, considering that if every Mason contributes just 5 Dollars per week, they can collect 1.3 Billion Dollars per year... they are a good way to deceive the outsiders, like its secrecy, it is often a cloak to hide its real teachings and goals, and a good way to obtain propaganda... and even the so called "charity" is a way to get money for the Order: In 1985, "Circuses" of the Shriners generated 23 Million Dollars, and only 2% went to medical care of children. In 1984, out of 17 Million Dollars only 1% went to charity, the rest for the Order!" - Orlando Sentinel, June 29, 1986.

"You must conceal all crimes of your brother Masons...and should you be summoned as a witness against a brother Mason be always sure to shield him...It may be perjury to do this, it is true, but you're keeping your obligations." (Ronayne, Handbook of Masonry, page 183)

A Secret Society

Manly P. Hall, a Freemason and master of the occult writes this about Freemasonry:

"Freemasonry is a fraternity within a fraternity -- an outer organization concealing an inner brotherhood of the elect ... it is necessary to establish the existence of these two separate and yet interdependent orders, the one visible and the other invisible. The visible society is a splendid camaraderie of 'free and accepted' men enjoined to devote themselves to ethical, educational, fraternal, patriotic, and humanitarian concerns. The invisible society is a secret and most August [defined as 'of majestic dignity, grandeur'] fraternity whose members are dedicated to the service of a mysterious arcannum arcandrum [defined as 'a secret, a mystery']." [Hall, Lectures on Ancient Philosophy, p. 433]

Albert Pike

Albert Pike is considered one of the great geniuses of Freemasonry, and his book, Morals and Dogma of Free and Accepted Scottish Rite Freemasonry (Morals and Dogma) is considered one of the great spiritual Freemasonry books ever. Pike published this book in 1871 and it was re-published by the authority of the "Supreme Council of the Thirty-Third Degree For The Southern Jurisdiction Of The United States" in March, 1919.

Here are just a few things that Albert Pike, Grandmaster of Freemasonry for over 8 years has to say:

"The Blue Degrees are but the outer court of the Temple. Part of the symbols are displayed there to the initiate, but he is intentionally misled by false interpretations. It is not intended that he shall understand them; but it is intended that he shall imagine he understands them. Their true explication is reserved for the Adepts, the Princes of Masonry." - Sovereign Grand Commander Albert Pike 33, Morals And Dogma, page 819

In the above quote from Albert Pike you see that Freemasonry lies to early initiates (those in the "blue lodges"). Many Freemasons today will insist that their association has nothing whatsoever to do with pagan sun worship but fail to admit the irony of the fact that their greatest spiritual leader admitted that Freemasonry lies to its own people.

Albert Pike stated:

'All true dogmatic religions come from the Kabbala and lead back to it; all that is scientific and great in the religious dream of all the illuminated such as Bachme, Swedenborg, St. Martin, and others similar, is borrowed from the Kabbala. All the Masonic associations owe their secrets and symbols to it' (Morals and Dogma (1871) p. 744-745).

Kabbala is a Jewish form of the Babylonian mysteries and is covered elsewere at LBC.

Ku Klux Klan

As owner-publisher of the Memphis, Tennessee, Daily Appeal, Albert Pike wrote in an editorial on April 16, 1868:

"With negroes for witnesses and jurors, the administration of justice becomes a blasphemous mockery. A Loyal League of negroes can cause any white man to be arrested, and can prove any charges it chooses to have made against him. ...The disenfranchised people of the South ... can find no protection for property, liberty or life, except in secret association.... We would unite every white man in the South, who is opposed to negro suffrage, into one great Order of Southern Brotherhood, with an organization complete, active, vigorous, in which a few should execute the concentrated will of all, and whose very existence should be concealed from all but its members. I took my obligation to White men, not to Negroes. When I have to accept Negroes as brothers or leave Masonry, I shall leave it." - (Illustrious Albert Pike 33, History and Evolution of Freemasonry, page 329, Delmar D. Darrah, The Charles T Powner Co. 1954)

Pikes Statue beside Department of Justice Building

The Masonic Pope

FACT: The only statue of a Confederate General in Washington D.C. is also that of a convicted war criminal, Arkansas KKK Grand Wizard, KKK Chief of Judiciary (it's enforcement and intelligence arm), and KKK founding "brain" - Illustrious Albert Pike 33, Sovereign Grand Commander of the Supreme Council 33, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisidiction U.S.A., the Mother Supreme Council of the World. The statue sits beside the Department of Justice Building. In 1995 African-American and Anti-Racist Groups attempted to get the statue taken down but were out gunned by the Supreme Council 33 who were able to mobilize fellow Scottish Rite Freemason 'travelling men' inside the powerful ADL of the Grand Lodge of B'nai B'rith, and intensively lobby Government officials into believing their fiction that "no primary sources existed for proof of General Pikes involvement in the KKK", and that even if there were "it happened a long time ago".

Freemasonry as a Religion

Freemasonry, it is said, is NOT a religion. Freemasons will adamantly deny being a cult or a religion in any manner. They will tell you that although they are not a religion, they are not incompatible with ANY religion and that many good Christians are freemasons. It is ironic however that Freemasonry calls their meeting halls temples and that these temples happen to have an alter and a holy book and is presided over by a high ranking freemason called the Worshipful Master all done under the huge letter G above the door that represents the Grand Architect of the Universe. These halls will also contain two pillars which are named after the pillars of Solomon's temple in scriptures when king Hiram of Tyre helped build Solomons temple. Many churches have condemned Freemasonry as non-Christian and have prohibited any of its members from being members. Freemasons, on the other hand, have consistently maintained that, while Freemasonry is not a religion, it is not inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible. They point out that Freemasonry draws much material from the Bible and holds it up to be a great guiding light of all Masons of all ages. Freemasons have also claimed as members many pastors of churches throughout history; indeed, today's Southern Baptist Convention literature reports that at least 40% of active Southern Baptist Ministers are also Freemasons.

(an "holy" book on a Masonic altar)

(Notice that the G in the Masonic symbol is here replaced in this bit of Masonic jewelry with the blazing sun. The G in Masonry represents the Grand Architect or God Almighty. This jewelry piece demonstrates that the true god of the universe is believed to be none other than the sun god.)

There is no room for any reasonable doubt as to Masonrys being a religion despite what many low level Freemasons will tell you. Not only do the symbols, rites and temples of this order point unmistakably to it as a religion, but a great many Masonic authors of note emphatically declare it to be just that!

Albert Mackey's Encyclopedia of Freemasonry has this to say:

"Look at its ancient landmarks, its sublime ceremonies, its profound symbols and allegories-all inculcating religious observance, and teaching religious truth, and who can deny that it is eminently a religious institution? . . . Masonry, then, is indeed a religious institution; and on this ground mainly, if not alone, should the religious Mason defend it." (Albert G. Mackey, Encyclopedia of Freemasonry, p. 731.

J. S. M. Ward, the author of several Masonic works, defines religion as:

a system of teaching moral truth associated with a belief in God and then declares: I consider Freemasonry is a sufficiently organized school of mysticism to be entitled to be called a religion. He goes on to say: I boldly aver that Freemasonry is a religion, yet in no way conflicts with any other religion, unless that religion holds that no one outside its portals can be saved (Freemasonry: Its Aims and Ideals, pp. 182, 185, 187).

Notice how Freemasonry is said not to conflict with any other religion UNLESS that religion holds that no one outside its portals can be saved. It has always been my belief that Christianity taught there was only one way to salvation. Therefore, by J.S.M. Ward's definition I would think that Freemasonry in incompatible with Christianity.

T. S. Webb says in his Masonic Monitor:

The meeting of a Masonic Lodge is strictly a religious ceremony. The religious tenets of Masonry are few, simple, but fundamental. No lodge or Masonic assembly can be regularly opened or closed without prayer (p. 284).

Albert G. Mackey, General High Priest of the General Grand Chapter of the United States, and the author of numerous works on Masonry, has this to say:

Freemasonry is emphatically a religious institution; it teaches the existence of God. It points to the celestial canopy above where is the Eternal Lodge and where He presides. It instructs us in the way to reach the portals of that distant temple (The Mystic Tie, p. 32). And in his Lexicon of Freemasonry Mackey says: The religion, then, of Masonry is pure Theism (p. 404).

Joseph Fort Newton, a zealous advocate of Masonic principles says this:

As some of us prefer to put it, Masonry is not a religion but Religionnot a church but a worship, in which men of all religions may unite (The Religion of Masonry, pp. 10, 11). With this agrees A. G. Mackeys declaration: The truth is that Masonry is undoubtedly a religious institution, its religion being of that universal kind in which all men agree (Textbook of Masonic Jurisdiction, p. 95).

Again, let's read the words of the great Freemason, Albert Pike regarding the religion of Freemasonry:

"Every Masonic Lodge is a temple of religion; and its teachings are instruction of religion." (page 213)

"Masonry, like all the Religions, all the Mysteries..., conceals its secrets from all except the Adepts and Sages, or the Elect, and uses false explanations and misinterpretations of its symbols to mislead those who deserve only to be mislead...Truth is not for those who are unworthy or unable to receive it, or would pervert it." (page 104)

And our expression, that our Lodges extend upwards to the Heavens, comes from the Persian and Druidic custom of having to their Temples no roofs but the sky., (page 366).

Fictions are necessary to the people, and the Truth becomes deadly to those who are not strong enough to contemplate it in all its brilliance. In fact, what can there be in common between the vile multitude and sublime wisdom? The truth must be kept secret, and the masses need a teaching proportioned to their imperfect reason. Illustrious Albert Pike 33, Sovereign Grand Commander, Mother Supreme Council of the World, THE SUPREME COUNCIL of the ThirtyThird and Last Degree, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Morals and Dogma, (page 103)

Those who understand a thing or two about Mystery Religion will instantly recognize the comment that the masses or "unworthy" of spiritual truth.

Is Freemasonry Compatible with Christianity?

Many Masonic authorities take pains to deny that Masonry is based upon the Bible while simultaneously stating that it is not in conflict with the Bible either.. LBC will provide strong compelling evidence that Masonry borrows much from the scriptures and twists it to support their religious convictions.

A. G. Mackeys Encyclopedia of Freemasonry informs us that in Masonry the Bible is regarded only as a symbol of the will of God and is on a par with the sacred books of other religions (p. 104).

A. G. Mackey also is quoted as saying:

Within a few years an attempt has been made by some Grand Lodges to add to these simple moral and religious qualifications another, which requires a belief in the divine authenticity of the Scriptures. It is much to be regretted that Masons will sometimes forget the fundamental law of their institution, and endeavor to add or detract from the perfect integrity of the building as it was left them by their predecessors. Whenever this is done, the beauty of our temple must suffer. Thus, in the instance here referred to, the fundamental law of Masonry requires only a belief in the Supreme Architect of the universe, and in a future life, while it says with peculiar toleration, that in all matters of religious belief Masons are only expected to be of that religion in which all men agree. Under the shelter of this wise provision, the Christian and the Jews, the Mohammedan and the Brahmin are permitted to unite around a common altar, and Masonry becomes in practice, as well as in theory, universal (Text-book of Masonic Jurisprudence, pp. 94, 95).

And in speaking of the Blue Lodge, which is the foundation of all Masonry, both the York Rite and the Scottish Rite, Chases Digest of Masonic Law declares:

Blue Lodge Masonry has nothing whatever to do with the Bible; if it did, it would not be Masonry, it would be something else (p. 207).

T. S. Webb in the Masonic Monitor says this:

So broad is the religion of Masonry, and so carefully are all sectarian tenets excluded from the system, that the Christian, the Jew, and the Mohammedan, in all their numberless sects and divisions, may and do harmoniously combine in its moral and intellectual work, with the Buddhist, the Parsee, the Confucian, and the worshiper of Deity under every form (p. 285).

From the above you get a hint of the underlying belief of Freemasonry that all religions, including Christianity, are but imperfect understandings of spiritual truth.. Ultimately, they believe, all "gods" are really honoring the same god (the Grand Architect). Masonry has no difficulty adapting itself to the prevailing religion of any land. Therefore, in a historically Christian country like America it employs the Bible in its ritual and by the same token it employs the Koran in Moslem countries. As a matter of fact, eminent Masons, such as A. G. Mackey, openly avow that for them the Bible and the sacred books of other religions are all in a class of the same (Encyclopedia of Freemasonry, p. 104).

Notice what J. S. M. Wards Freemasonry and the Ancient Gods has to say:

Light is the key which opens the door to our mysteries, and it is the same Light which shines in every letter of the Koran, and is the Light of Mithra [sun god popular with Roman soldiers], who is the light of Ahura-Mazda. It is the same Light from which Moses shaded his eyes when it appeared to him in the bush, and the sign of a R(oyal) A(rch) is still made by an Arunta native of Australia when he returns from the final degree through which he passes in the mysterious ceremonies peculiar to that primitive people. It is that Light of which it is written in our Scriptures that the Light shineth in the Darkness and the Darkness comprehended it not (pp. 61, 62).

The scriptures however teach that there is only ONE GOD and that all other gods are false gods and evil spirits. For Freemasonry to claim that it doesn't matter which god you worship is a direct violation of the very first commandment - YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME.

J. S. M. Ward unwittingly provides further evidence of the false teachings of masonry::

Freemasonry has taught each man can, by himself work out his own conception of God and thereby achieve salvation (Freemasonry: Its Aims and Ideals, p. 187).

Again LBC has to soundly reject a teaching as being compatible with Christianity if it teaches that each man can work out his own concept of God and attain salvation.

In his Text-book of Masonic Jurisprudence A. G. Mackey is careful to explain that the moral law of Masonry is not the moral law of the Bible. We read:

Every Mason is obliged by his tenure to obey moral law. Now this moral law is not to be considered as confined to the decalogue [ten commandments] of Moses, within which narrow limits the ecclesiastical writers technically retain it, but rather as alluding to what is called the lex naturae or the law of nature. This is the moral law to which the old charge already cited refers, and which it declares to be the law of Masonry. And this was wisely done, for it is evident that no law less universal could have been appropriately selected for the government of an institution whose prominent characteristic is its universality. The precepts of Jesus could not have been made obligatory upon a Jew; a Christian would have denied the sanctions of the Koran; a Mohammedan must have rejected the law of Moses, and a disciple of Zoroaster would have turned from all to the teachings of his Zend Avesta. The universal law of nature, which the authors of the Old Charges have properly called the moral law, is, therefore, the only law suited in every respect to be adopted as the Masonic code (p. 502).

H. L. Haywood in his Great Teachings of Masonry says:

Human experience, both individual and racial, is the one final authority in morals. Wrong is whatever hurts human life or destroys human happiness. Acts are not right or wrong intrinsically but according as their effects are hurtful or helpful (p. 39).

According to the July 10, 1940, issue of The Covenanter Witness, J. S. M. Ward has this poem:

Bacchus died and rose again,
On the golden Syrian Plain;
Osiris rose from out his grave,
And thereby mankind did save;
Adonis likewise did shed his blood
By the yellow Syrian flood;
Zoroaster brought to birth
Mirthra from his cave of earth.
And we today in Christian lands

We with them can join hands.

The Catholic Church has interesting comments regarding Freemasonry:

The Church, of course, condemns all secret societies which are Satan's happy hunting grounds: "As Our Predecessors have many times repeated, let no man think that he may for any reason whatsoever join the Masonic sect, if he values his Catholic name and his eternal salvation as he ought to value them. Let no one be deceived by a pretense of honesty. It may seem to some that Freemasons demand nothing that is openly contrary to religion and morality; but, as the whole principle and object of the sect lies in what is vicious and criminal, to join with these men or in any way to help them cannot be lawful" (Pope Leo XIII, Encyclical Letter, Humanum Genus, On Freemasonry).

Further, in his letter to the Italian people dated December 8, 1892, Pope Leo XIII writes:

"Let us remember that CHRISTIANITY and Freemasonry are essentially incompatible, to such an extent, that to become united with one means being divorced from the other. Let us, therefore, expose Freemasonry as the enemy of God, of the Church and of our Motherland "

Two-Headed Eagle (Scottish-Rite Freemasonry)

The symbol of the Scottish-Rite Freemasons is a two-headed eagle (soon to be displayed here on this page). LBC will expose that the original bird of the United States was the phoenix and not the eagle we have today (revealed in future articles on the Founding Fathers page).

You will find that the change from the Phoenix to the eagle really did not make that much difference. Masonic author, R. Swinburne Clymer, writing in The Mysteries of Osiris , 1951, explains:

"When they [pagans] desired to express the renewal, or beginning, of the year, they represented it in the form of a door-keeper. It could easily be distinguished by the attributes of a key ... At times, they gave it two heads, back to back ... In time, this [back-to-back key symbol] became the double-headed Eagle of symbolic Masonry." [p. 42]

Freemasonry and Egyptian Mysteries

"... our mode of teaching the principles of our profession [Masonry] is derived from the Druids ... and our chief emblems originally came from Egypt ..." [William Hutchinson, Mason, The Spirit of Masonry, revised by George Oliver, New York, Bell Publishing, originally published in 1775, p. 195]

The Home of the Mysteries

Alice Bailey, Director of the House of Theosophy writing as a conduit for her demonic 'Guiding Spirit', Master D.K. writes in 'The Externalization of the Hierarchy',

"The Masonic Movement ... will meet the need of those who can, and should, wield power. It is the custodian of the law; it is the home of the Mysteries and the seat of initiation. It holds in its symbolism the ritual of Deity, and the way of salvation is pictorially preserved in its work. The methods of Deity are demonstrated in its Temples and under the All-seeing Eye the work can go forward. It is a far more occult organization than can be realized and is intended to be the training school for the coming advanced occultists ... in Masonry you have the three paths leading to initiation. As yet they are not used, and one of the things that will eventuate -- when the new universal religion has sway and the nature of esotericism is understood -- will be the utilization of the banded esoteric organism, the Masonic organism and the Church organism as initiating centers. These three groups converge as their inner sanctuaries are approached. There is no dissociation between the One Universal Church, the sacred inner Lodge of all true Masons, and the inner-most circles of the esoteric societies. (Pages 511, 513)

Alice Bailey then concludes her instructions about the role Freemasonry is to play in the coming establishment of the New World Order and its Great One.

"There is no question, therefore, that the work to be done in familiarizing the general public with the nature of the Mysteries is of paramount importance at this time. These Mysteries will be restored to outer expression through the medium of the Church and the Masonic Fraternity ... When the Great One comes with His disciples and initiates we shall have ... the restoration of the Mysteries and their exoteric presentation as a consequence of the first initiation." [Page 514]

Albert Pike's "Spirit Guide" predicts Three World Wars!

As do most occultists, Albert Pike had a "spirit guide," who dispensed "Divine Wisdom" and enlightened him regarding how to achieve the New World Order. A "spirit guide" is a "being" who meets someone who has given themselves over to the practice of the occult; however, people who are practitioners of the New Age Religion do not view this as a bad thing. In fact, they would strongly argue that they are filled with happiness and joy by interacting with their "spirit guides," not realizing that they have been temporarily deceived by Satan who, along with his demons, can appear as an Angel of Light in order to deceive:

"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness ..." (2 Corinthians 11:14-15).

One message that Albert Pike received from his "spirit guide," and which in reality we know to be a demonic vision, he described in a letter that he wrote to Mazzini, dated August 15, 1871. This letter graphically outlined plans for three world wars that were seen as necessary to bring about the One World Order, and we can marvel at how accurately it has predicted events that have already taken place. I do not believe this is because the devil has powers of prophecy, but because his agents have undertaken to manipulate political events to closely follow his designs. Furthermore, God Almighty himself is directing things for his own purpose, allowing Lucifer to have his time on earth. For a short time, this letter was on display in the British Museum Library in London, and it was copied by William Guy Carr, former Intelligence Officer in the Royal Canadian Navy.

The secret Pike plan to control the world foresaw the need for three world wars. Stop here for a moment to remember the date of this prediction: January 22, 1870. This date is 44 years before the beginning of World War I. Once you understand the facts we are about to share with you and realize the length of time between this prediction and the beginning of its fulfillment, you can understand how supernatural forces were truly in command.

Pike's Spirit Guide: World War I

"The First World War must be brought about in order to permit the Illuminati to overthrow the power of the Czars in Russia and of making that country a fortress of atheistic Communism. The divergences caused by the "agentur" (agents) of the Illuminati between the British and Germanic Empires will be used to foment this war. At the end of the war, Communism will be built and used in order to destroy the other governments and in order to weaken the religions."

COMMENT: Students of history will recognize that the political alliances of England on one side and Germany on the other, forged between 1871 and 1898 by Otto von Bismarck, co-conspirator of Albert Pike, were instrumental in bringing about the First World War. In 1917, at Fatima, before the end of this First World War and before the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, the Blessed Virgin Mary predicted the rise of Russia as a major power that would be used as a scourge by God to punish an apostate world. I believe also that the vision of Mary at Fatima was none other than a demon appearing to people to give them the "light" which they sought. Books written by various Catholic priests, including the former Jesuit Father Malichi Martin like Keys of this Blood and Windswept House, detail how the Catholic church actually helped build the rise and fall of Communism in an attempt to bring about world order.

Pike's Spirit Guide: World War II

"The Second World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences between the Fascists and the political Zionists. This war must be brought about so that Nazism is destroyed and that the political Zionism be strong enough to institute a sovereign state of Israel in Palestine. During the Second World War, International Communism must become strong enough in order to balance Christendom, which would be then restrained and held in check until the time when we would need it for the final social cataclysm."

COMMENT: In 1917, at Fatima, the Blessed Virgin Mary predicted the end of the First World War, and the coming of the Second. After this Second World War, Communism was made strong enough to begin taking over weaker governments. In 1945, at the Potsdam Conference between Truman, Churchill, and Stalin, a large portion of Europe was simply handed over to Russia, and on the other side of the world, the aftermath of the war with Japan helped to sweep the tide of Communism into China. It is amazing that both Albert Pike through his spirit guide, and the supposed "blessed mother of God" at Fatima, predicted the rise of two world wars. The planned third world war appears to have started already:

Pike's Spirit Guide: World War III

"The Third World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the "agentur" of the "Illuminati" between the political Zionists and the leaders of Islamic World. The war must be conducted in such a way that Islam (the Moslem Arabic World) and political Zionism (the State of Israel) mutually destroy each other. Meanwhile the other nations, once more divided on this issue will be constrained to fight to the point of complete physical, moral, spiritual and economical exhaustionWe shall unleash the Nihilists and the atheists, and we shall provoke a formidable social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effect of absolute atheism, origin of savagery and of the most bloody turmoil. Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in the public view. This manifestation will result from the general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of Christianity and atheism, both conquered and exterminated at the same time." (Albert Pike 33, Letter 15 August 1871, Addressed to Grand Master Guiseppie Mazzini 33, Archives British Museum, London, England)

COMMENT: Since the terrorist attacks of Sept 11, 2001, world events in the Middle East show a growing unrest and instability between Jews and Arabs. This is completely in line with the call for a Third World War to be fought between the two, and their allies on both sides. This Third World War is still to come, and recent events show us that it is not far off.

Builders of Solomons Temple

Freemasonry claims in their own writings to have a history dating back to the stonemasons who helped build Solomons temple. In fact, many disturbing portions in Masonic writings will show that a major goal of Freemasonry today remains to rebuild Solomons temple in the near future in Jerusalem.

The two pillars Jachin and Boaz take a predominant position in Masonic symbolism to this day. All Masonic temples will contain these two pillars, named with the same Jachin and Boaz of the Bible. In the Scottish Rite, the dates of all official documents are given according to the Hebrew months and Jewish era, and use is made of the older form (Samaritan or Phenician) of the Hebrew alphabet.

Lest you forget how Solomon could allowed mystery religion symbols to be used in his Temple, the Bible records that Solomon did eventually turn to serving the gods of his many wives and that he built alters for them in all of the high places, including the temple.

Hiram Abiff

All initiates into Freemasonry take part in a ritual in which they dress up in the role of what they call a fictitious character named Hiram Abiff. They then re-enact a bizarre ritual in which Hiram Abiff is murdered by three ruffians. The ritual concludes with the initiate being resurrected (Hiram Abiff brought back to life). The symbology of the ritual are disturbingly religiously in nature.

There is Jewish Rabbinic legend that states that a scriptural and historical figure, Hiram Abiff, was killed by three workmen just at the completion of the Temple of Solomon and that all of the workmen were killed so that they should not build another temple devoted to idolatry, Hiram himself however, according to Rabbinic legend, was resurrected and raised to heaven like Enoch.

The Resurrection

Below we have the Master Mason in the foreground, the initiate playing the role of Hiram in the background. Notice the ritual coffin on the ground behind him. The initiate is laid on this coffin, symbolically dying and then is resurrected by the worshipful master as the initiate swears to avenge the death of Hiram Abiff

King Hiram in the Bible

According to Freemasons, the name Hiram Abiff is a fictitious name, yet a striking comparison can be made in the Bible to King Hiram, king of Tyre and his master craftsman Hiram-abi. Here you see that a king by the name of Hiram sent STONEMASONS to help build a house for David. Freemasonry admits that it began as a guild of STONEMASONS that kept their trade secrets through the use of symbols and rituals that are carried on today.

Then Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David with cedar trees and carpenters and stonemasons; and they built a house for David. - 2 Sam 5:7

Hiram Builds Solomons Temple

Now Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon, when he heard that they had anointed him king in place of his father, for Hiram had always been a friend of David. Then Solomon sent word to Hiram saying. Now therefore, command that they cut for me cedars from Lebanon, and my servants will be with your servants; and I will give you wages for your servants according to all that you say, for you know that there is no one among us who knows how to cut timber like the Sidonians. When Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly and said, Blessed be the Lord today, who has given to David a wise son over this great people..So Hiram gave Solomon as much as he desired of the cedar and cypress timber. The Lord gave wisdom to Solomon, just as He promised him; and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a covenant. - 1 Kings 5:1-12

After David came Solomon and the Bible records that King Hiram now is hired by King Solomon to build a temple to the Lord. Remember, Freemasonry claims that they were responsible for building Solomons Temple yet they want you to believe that King Hiram is not the same Hiram Abiff in their rituals. There is a good reason Freemasons would want to disguise this from the public but first lets look at some more of what the Bible has to say about King Hiram and the building of Solomons Temple.

It is interesting to note that King Hirams father is a man by the name of Abiba'al which literally translates Father Baal, or my father is Baal and that Hiram reigned thirty-four years, and died at the age of fifty-three. Solomon built the Temple in the twelfth year of Hiram's reign, which, according to this statement, must have lasted from 969 to 936 B.C. This does NOT agree with the Biblical data; for if Hiram sent materials to David after his conquest of Jerusalem and was still alive twenty years after the construction of Solomon's Temple, his reign must have lasted about sixty years. It is likely, however, that the Hiram of David's time was the father of the Hiram of Solomon's; and this supposition is confirmed by II Chron. 2:12. Josephus, relying on the two above-named historians, relates further that Hiram built first the temple of Hercules, and then the temple of Astarte (Astarte being the same goddess Isis in Egyptian mythology) when he made his expedition against the Tityans. According to other Phenician historians (quoted by Tatian, "Contra Grcos," 37), Hiram gave his daughter in marriage to Solomon. E. G. H. M. Sel.[1]

Hiram-abi, the Master Builder

Now Solomon decided to build a house for the name of the Lord and a royal palace for himselfThen Solomon sent word to Huram [another spelling of Hiram] the king of Tyre sayingThe house which I am about to build will be great, for greater is our God than all the gods. But who is able to build a house for Him, for the heavens and the highest heavens cannot contain Him? So who am I that I should build a house for Him except to burn incense before Him? Now send me a skilled man to work in gold in gold, silver, brass and iron, and in purple, crimson and violet fabrics and who knows how to make engravings to work with the skilled men whom I have in Judah and JerusalemThen Huram [Hiram] king of Tyre answered in a letter sent to SolomonNow I am sending Huram-abi [Hiram-abi], a skilled man, endowed with understandingwho knows how to make all kinds of engravings and to execute any design which may be assigned to him to work with your skilled men - 2 Chronicles 2:3-14

Note: Freemasons worship the Grand Architect of the Universe.

Master Builder = Grand Architect

Freemasons pride themselves on being master craftsman and architects. In fact, the letter G in the Masonic symbol seen outside any Masonic temple represents the Grand Architect (the name they give to the supreme deity they serve).

Here we see that Huram-abi (which translates literally as Huram my father), was a master craftsman sent by Hiram, King of Tyre, to king Solomon for the purpose of building a temple. With Freemasons admitting that their history is of great stonemasons and architects, it would make sense that Freemasonry would revere this great king of Tyre, King Hiram, and his master craftsman Hiram-abi. It also makes perfect sense why Freemasonry would claim that they built Solomons temple since Hiram-abi was a master stonemason who built Solomons temple. The connections are unmistakable.

According to many historians, Hiram-abi is likely the same Hammurabi known historically for creating the great Hammurabi code which was discovered by archeologists in 1901. So, what does history tell us about King Hammurabi? ]

The Historical Hammurabi

Hammurabi is believed to be the sixth king of the first Babylonian dynasty. The origin and etymology of Hammurabi's name are somewhat puzzling, for this name does not appear to be distinctly Babylonian and may be actually Assyrian.

The Hammurabi code, excavated in 1901 was carved on an eight-foot high stone monolith (obelisk). This, the earliest known written legal code, is believed to be composed about 1780 B.C. by Hammurabi, the ruler of Bablyon. The code details laws regarding the governing of a city-state including civil laws, governmental laws, and laws regarding trade and taxation. Of all the ancient legislations, that of the Hebrew scriptures alone can stand in comparison with the Babylonian Code.

Hammurabi Code

The stele containing the Hammurabi Code is an obelisk-like block of black diorite measuring 7 ft. 4 in. in height and 6 ft 9 in. in circumference at the base. With the exception of a large carving in relief on the upper end, it was once entirely covered with forty-four columns (over 3800 lines) of text in the old Babylonian wedge-writing. The relief carved at the upper end of the obelisk represents the king (Hammurabi or Hiram-abi) standing before the sun god Shamash or Marduke seated upon a throne.

From the brief outline of his long reign known from historical sources, we learn that every year there was some important work accomplished: temples erected or restored, cities built or embellished, canals dug, agricultural progress promoted, justice re-established; and his letters witness to the attention given by him to every detail of administration: revenue, public works, regulation of food supplies, exemptions from duty, etc.

Later Babylonian copies of the Hammurabi Code show that it was studied, divided into chapters, and recopied for fifteen hundred years or more.

In the first part there is a lengthy enumeration of Hammurabi's honorific title and a recital of his deeds of war and peace, ending with these words, very aptly prefacing the Code: "When Marduk sent me to govern men, to sustain and instruct the world, right and justice in the land I established, I brought about the happiness of men".

The conclusion of the inscription sounds like a hymn of high-keyed self-praise. The document ends with a blessing for those who will obey the laws and a long series of curses against him who will give no heed to the laws, or interfere with the word of the Code.

Ezekiels Lament for the King of Tyre

In light of what we have just learned about the historical Hammurabi, the following lament for the King of Tyre will make much more sense. Ezekiel is told to lament for the King of Tyre and give warnings with prophetic implications. While the lament of the King of Tyre is unmistakably referring to a literal man, none other than King Hiram, the long lament slowly takes a turn to a much deeper meaning, one that can only refer to Lucifer himself. Through this lament we are told that the King of Tyre became proud and claimed to be God himself, thereby becoming like Lucifer.

Master Builders

Nimrod was a master builder and warrior having built the tower of Babel. Mythology records gods and goddesses of building (Isis goddess of towers and high places), etc. So too we see the King of Tyre, Hiram, is a master builder and equated with Satan. Hammurabi is this kinga master builder and one who came to believe he was god as well. The Bible records that the king of Tyre will be cast downalong with Babylon (same system), etc. Freemasons are master builderskeeping the secretsworshiping the same gods.

Lucifer, the god of This World

On July 14, 1889, two years before his death, Pike issued the following statement to the 24 Supreme Masonic Councils of the world who were meeting in Paris:

"That which we must say to the crowd is: 'We worship a God, but it is the God one adores without superstition.' "

"To you, Sovereign Grand Inspectors General (33rd Degree Masons), we say this, that you may repeat it to the Brethren of the 32nd, 31st, and 30th degrees: 'The Masonic religion should be, by all of us initiates of the high degrees, maintained in the purity of the Luciferian doctrine.' "

"If Lucifer were not God whose deeds prove his cruelty, perfidy, and hatred of man, barbarism and repulsion for science, would Adonay and his priests calumniate him? Yes, Lucifer is God, and unfortunately Adonay is also God. For the eternal law is that there is no light without shade, no beauty without ugliness, no white without black, for the absolute can only exist as two Gods: darkness being necessary to light to serve as its foil as the pedestal is necessary to the statue, and the brake to the locomotive..."

"...Thus, the doctrine of Satanism is a heresy; and the true and pure philosophic religion is the belief in Lucifer, the equal of Adonay; but Lucifer, God of Light and God of Good, is struggling for humanity against Adonay, the God of darkness and evil."

"La Femme et l'enfant dans la Franc-Maconnerie Universelle," A.C. De La Rive, p. 588; Lady Queenborough, pp. 220-221.

Albert Pike identifies Lucifer as the source of Freemasonry's spiritual light. On page 321 of Morals and Dogma, Pike boldly states:

"Lucifer, the Light-bearer! Strange and mysterious name given to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the Light...? Doubt it not!" (Morals and Dogma, page 321)

Occultist Manly P. Hall explains:

"When a Mason learns the key to the warrior on the block is the proper application of the dynamo of living power, he has learned the mystery of his Craft. The seething energies of Lucifer are in his hands and before he may step onward and upward, he must prove his ability to properly apply energy." Illustrious Manly P. Hall 33, The Lost Keys of Freemasonry, page 48, Macoy Publishing and Masonic Supply Company, Inc., Richmond, Virginia, 1976

Satanic leader, Anton LaVey, states quite clearly:,

"Satanic ritual is a blend of Gnostic, Cabalistic (Jewish Kaballah), Hermetic, and Masonic elements." - The Satanic Rituals: Companion To The Satanic Bible, on page 21

Then, LaVey declares:

"Masonry contains "numerous manifestations of Satanism, namely the goat, the coffin, the death's-head..." (page 58)

Russian Occultist, Madame Blavatsky says:

"One of the most hidden secrets involves the so-called fall of Angels. Satan and his rebellious host will thus prove to have become the direct Saviours and Creators of divine man. Thus Satan, once he ceases to be viewed in the superstitious spirit of the church, grows into the grandiose image. It is Satan who is the God of our planet and the only God. Satan (or Lucifer) represents the Centrifugal Energy of the Universe, this ever-living symbol of self-sacrifice for the intellectual independence of humanity." Sister H.P. Blavatsky, The Secret Doctrine, Pages 215, 216, 220, 245, 255, 533

(Both A&E and the History channel have presented the links between freemasonry and the worship of Lucifer.)

The Three Pillars Tracing Board

Incredibly, the symbol used for Satan in Islam is three pillars.

During the Hajj, a pilgrimage which all Muslims are required to make at least once in their lifetime, they must participate in the 'Stoning of the Devil' ceremony, who is represented by three giant pillars.

The pillars symbolizing the Devil are at the center of giant ramps built to accommodate the huge crowds of pilgrims who must complete the ritual by dusk. Muslim tradition says it was here that the Devil tried to tempt the Prophet Abraham to disobey God when he appeared before him and Isaac suddenly.

Yet, one of the most widely used devices inside Freemasonry to instruct new Masons on the 'Craft' is none other than the 'Three Pillars Tracing Board'...

Freemasonry and the Illuminati

Adam Weishaupt was trained as a Catholic Jesuit priest (the Society of Jesus). The founder of the Jesuits, the Spaniard Ignatius Loyola, formed a secret society within this apparently Catholic order and the initiates were called the Alumbrados, the enlightened, the illuminated. Weishaupt created 13 degrees of initiation in his secret "Illuminati" (the same as the number of levels on the Great Seal pyramid which will be covered in detail at LBC) and the key personnel were to be found in the top nine degrees. Many confuse the Illuminati and Freemasonry and understandably so. Both orders trace their origins back to the Babylonian mysteries. We will cover more on the Illuminati at a later time.

Janus

Janus was a god revered by the Romans and is associated with war or making war. According to Bergen Evans' dictionary of Mythology. It was a peculiarity of this god that the doors of his temple were kept open in time of war and closed in time of universal peace. They were rarely closed.

Janus is represented with two faces, one looking back to the past and the other looking forward to the new year. Janus is also where we get our month January from, most likely because of the face looking forward to a new year.

The saying to be Janus-faces or to be two-faced comes from this god. It depicts a deliberate attempt to say one thing and do another or to be deceitful and to be a traitor.

Symbol of the S-R

The two-headed Eagle is described in "Morals and Dogma". The Eagle is interchanged with the Vulture sometimes substituted for the Scorpion. It is also the symbol of the Egyptian god Mendes, the symbol of Mendes. The two- headed eagle symbolizes attainment of angelhood through union of two portions of the ego, male and female. Human no longer, but a god/angel occupies the throne at the the right hand of Deity. Satan is a male and female entity. The crown refers to everlasting life. The Maltese cross above the crown indicates a new cycle in the spiritual realm that opens up possibilities undreamed of.

The two threes (33) means two souls have completed the cycle on all three planes and their powers are multiplied

The triangle is the pyramid with the sun behind it. Masons worship the sun. The bottom line of the triangle represents the ego and the two vertical lines converging and touching the presence of triune God There are 32 pentagrams in total under the wings which confirms that Pike was Master of the Royal Secret. 33is honorary and not part of the steps they have to achieve.

(Notice how this gathering of Freemasons is arranged to form a pyramid? Is this coincidental?)

A Religion of Symbols

The initiates of the secret society network have always had a code of communication through certain phrases, words, funny handshakes and symbols.

There are also a series of Brotherhood signatures which form their secret language and these are all around us every day. They are obsessed with their rituals and symbols which are taken primarily from ancient Egyptian sun worship.

What Does the Pope think of Freemasonry?

"There are various sects, which although differing in name, rite, form, and origin, are nevertheless so united by community of purposes and by similarity of their main principles as to be really one with the Masonic sect, which is a kind of centre, whence they all proceed and whither they all return. Their ultimate purpose is the overthrow of the whole religious, political, and social order based on Christian institutions and the establishment of a new state of things according to their own ideas and based in its principles and laws on pure Naturalism". - Pope Leo XIII

An insidious, fraudulent and perverse organization injurious both to religion and to society. - Pope Pius IX

Amazing testimonies from Presidents against Freemasonry in the Government

John Quincy Adams Speaks Out Against Freemasonry. Read how he claims Masonry is a secret society working within government to subvert the church and state!

"That so many men, at so many separate points, should have acted in perfect concert in such business as they were engaged in, would scarcely be believed, without compelling the inference of some distinct understanding existing between them. That they should have carried into effect the most difficult part of their undertaking, a scheme of the most daring and criminal nature, in the midst of a large, intelligent and active population, without thereby incurring the risk of a full conviction of their guilt and the consequent punishment, would be equally incredible, but for the light furnished by the phraseology of the Masonic oath. Upon the first hasty and superficial glance, a feeling might arise of surprise that the frivolity of its unmeaning ceremonial, and ridiculous substitution of its fictions for the sacred history, should not long ago discredited the thing in the minds of good and sensible men everywhere. Yet upon closer and more attentive examination, this first feeling vanishes, and makes way for astonishment at the ingenious contrivance displayed in the construction of the whole machine. A more perfect agent for the devising and execution of conspiracies against the church or state could scarcely have been conceived." - President John Quincy Adams Letters on the Masonic Institution, 1847.

"I saw a code of Masonic legislation adapted to prostrate every principle of equal justice and to corrupt every sentiment of virtuous feeling in the soul of him who bound his allegiance to it. "I saw the practice of common honesty, the kindness of Christian benevolence, even the abstinence of atrocious crimes; limited exclusively by lawless oaths and barbarous penalties, to the social relations between the Brotherhood and the Craft. I saw slander organize into a secret, widespread and affiliated agency....I saw self-invoked imprecations of throats cut from ear to ear, of hearts and vitals torn out and cast off and hung on spires. I saw wine drunk from a human skull with solemn invocation of all the sins of its owner upon the head of him who drank it." President John Quincy Adams

President Woodrow Wilson speaks of powerful men behind the scenes of government.

Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it. President Woodrow Wilson

England's current Ministry of Defense bans Freemason's from office!

The following instruction sets out guidance governing the membership by members of the armed forces of societies such as freemasons: there is no intention or policy to preclude service personnel from membership of any lawful and benevolent organization. However, involvement in organizations of a secretive nature, such as the freemasons, carries with it the risk of establishing disparate loyalties which may have a destabilizing influence on the chain of command, not least by the perception of preferential treatment and undue influence. While membership of such organizations is clearly a matter for the individuals concerned, serving personnel should not encourage or promote membership amongst their colleagues, meetings should not be held on MOD premises, and use should not be made of any MOD property. Ministry of Defense United Kingdon New 2001 Department Policy on Freemasonry in the Military
